Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt’s far from the center if you do not have a car. As someone who had meetings in Leiden center it was a bit of a hassle. But the room size and comfort made up for it.
Room was spacious, the buffet breakfast area was nice, bike rental option was also great. The bus is very accessible, across the street from the hotel and takes you straight to Leiden Center.

United StatesThe gym was too small, and very limited equipment. The weather was good so I had the option of going for a run in the surrounding neighborhood (lots of cycling so I'm assuming its safe) but could not (time challenges)
The patio is quite nice beside the canal, watching the boats while you have a meal is quite nice. The historic properties of the structure were integrated quite well into a modern twist. The food was very good, the bar was reasonable, the staff were very friendly and helpful (I forgot my travel adapter and they had a spare one they let me use).

BelgiumBathroom was a bit dated, but fully functional! The restaurant staff was unexperienced, slow in service, they did not come to our table very often. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice and twice we had this service. The double bed had single sheets which my partner and I did not like.
The restaurant was top-notch. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was large, clean and comfortable!

All went extremely well. Receptionist on arrival not very helpful but next day young lady was superb advising us on bus travel and where to make for in city. Breakfast was excellent and dinner very good. Waiting staff very attentive and helpful. Riverside location above expectations. All in all a big Thank You.
