Nothing! Loved everything Steenhof had to offer.

The room was beautiful and exceeded expectations. The Rembrandt came witha great terrace area and comfortable bathroom. Will definitely stay again!

Obviously being in the loft room there are lots of stairs. Also the beams are quite low and so getting up in the middle of the night for taller people can be a challenge.

This was our second visit to the property. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and found the team during our stay, very friendly and helpful. Being able to store our bikes safely overnight gave us peace of mind. We stayed in the Loft room with a nice view over the square and sitting area. We enjoyed a breakfast of local ham and cheese, croissants and omelette and yoghurt with fruit. A great start to the day!!

Charming hotel in an old building. The room was very clean and well stocked with daily supply of coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. Taxi service to Schiphol was reasonable and professional.

The room I stayed in was at the top of the house. There were about 4 flights of stairs that were all quite steep.

The hotel and room were beautiful. Very stylish and everyone was very helpful. It was a fabulous location just by the canal and a short walk from the old town.

Slightly awkward staircase to the room and bathroom, but fortunately, only 1 flight of stairs to go up.

We stayed one night each, at the beginning and end of our trip to the Netherlands. Friendly, helpful staff made us feel really welcome. Beautiful room.

Room was very spacious. Breakfast was fresh made. Location was central to restaurants and shops. About a 20 minute walk to the train station. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

A wonderful experience in every possible way. The property is beautiful and perfectly located (as are many boutique hotels), but the attentiveness and graciousness of the staff is what sets it apart. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Leiden from now on!

The location was perfect, service excellent and room comfy and clean. Breakfast can be ordered. Gym is excellent next doors free of charge.

The room was convenient and spare room with seating connected by flight of stairs. Breakfast delicious will need to be ordered the night before or in the morning with some waiting time. Gym next doors easy to use and convenient.

You can hear the loud bells from the clock tower close by until late at night and early in the morning, although there were earplugs provided in the room. Quite noisy in general: creaky stairs, thin walls, etc. Not an issue for me but for those very sensitive to sound, be warned! Room lacked a desk or surface to work on.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful historic building right in the centre of Leiden. Generous rooms with modern bathrooms, while maintaining authentic details and character. Very friendly staff, although they are not there until late, so after 18:00 no staff on site, which for me wasn't an issue.

It was all lovely - really no complaints.

Absolutely beautiful and very generous room (I booked the Royal Suite). Everything about it was lovely, from the view over the canal from the windows, to the decor and the very, very comfortable bed. Good coffee maker in the room, plenty of storage, great lighting and well placed in the historic centre of Leiden. You can get breakfast, you just need to tell the staff ahead of time, but we walked down the road to a great little cafe instead. Highly recommended hotel.

The heating system does not work and it got freezing cold at night.
