I thought the only thing that could be better or updated was the couch option in the apartment. It was hard to sit on for 2 people and I stayed over the holidays so we wanted something cozy to relax in.

We noted when we arrived that the cleaning had not been finished before our arrival. We notified our hosts and appreciated that the cleaning staff came back and offered to sort out whatever needed to be done but we had already done it ourselves. What impressed us was the fast response - it was quick and easy to contact the hosts, they replied very quickly and every effort was made to rectify the issue.

We loved everything about our apartment at Pakasa! After nearly two weeks, it felt almost like home and we were sad to leave. The apartment is just as in the photos - beautifully furnished with everything to a very high quality. The beds were extremely comfortable - so much so, we made a note of the brand of mattress for the next time we need to buy a new bed. Shower was superb. Washing machine was very handy to have. We liked the apartment so much, we may consider applying for a longer stay when we're ready to move to Leiden later this year, to use as our base while we look for a house to buy.

The bed is two single mattresses held together, so you do need to avoid slipping down the crack in the middle. There is car parking but it is a high fee every day which adds up fast, and honestly, we didn't miss having a car - unless you have mobility issues I'd recommend walking and using public transport, or hiring a bike.

Great location in the heart of the historic part of the city, very easy to explore, and 20 minutes walk from the train station for seeing further afield into Amsterdam and beyond. Very cosy and well equipped. Literally a stone's throw from Leiden Christmas market too if you're there in mid-December, and five minutes from a supermarket for stocking up on essentials. Excellent bonus to have our own washer dryer in the apartment and a dishwasher so we didn't have to worry about doing dishes on holiday. The shower is spacious enough for two, and the sofa was so comfortable we kept falling asleep on it! WiFi worked perfectly, and the information on how to use appliances was very informative and appreciated. We were also gifted a set of three LED candles for Christmas on our check-out day which was a lovely surprise!

Pakasa is in a CD great central position in Leiden. Our unit was fully self contained with everything you could possibly need for your stay.

The washing machine did not work properly, it did not drain water so everything was still soaked and dripping after the complete run.

Great location and the overall comfort of the apartment. It also has a very well equipped kitchen for self catering and a lovely terrace by the canal. I would highly recommend this place.

The only things we missed were a microwave and a hair dryer.

I liked the decor, the loft, and the balcony over oude rijn. It was peaceful yet close to the action. The location was perfect for us.

The larger nonstick pans were badly scratched/unusable. Do watch out for the climb down the ladder from the bed on the mezzanine level -- quite tricky at night!

Wonderful location, the best views and a peaceful setting. Proximity to supermarket, shops, Saturday market and within 15 minutes (beautiful) walk of the station. Very comfortable beds. Quiet.

Lots of space and close to supermarkets and shops. Had everything in the room and kitchen which made it super comfortable. Definitely coming back again!

The heating seems to be controlled centrally and we had the loft apartment. Given the season it was somewhat chilly, but not cold. There was no heating adjustment in the apartment.

The condition of the building is exceptional. The apartment was delightful and fitted with everything you need. The location, in the heart of Leiden old town is just stunning. High quality in every respect;

The ladder to the attic is to steep for us, yet we can manage in using it.

Its very cozy apt and complete with household stuff to support our stay. Situated in the heart of Leiden, made us easy in exploring and enjoying this cultural and educational city.
