Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is located 2 metro stops from the Central Station so just few minutes. The place is quiet and near a small shoping center with fast food restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel is sufficient, you can also have very good pizzas in the evening at the bar.

We did a 3-country train hop from London to Belgium to Amsterdam and stayed in 3 different hotels. Mercure is by far the best we’ve stayed at! Very clean specially the bathroom and service is just phenomenal! The train station is a couple of minutes walk, location is very central. Best value for money!

United StatesBreakfast buffet is a little pricey, however, it was great and had lots of choices. We did make sure to get our money's worth.
Great location next to the metro. Very convenient and easy to use. Doesn't take long to get to where you need to go. The Heineken Experience which was across town from us was only four stops away (10 minutes). From there the Rijks and Van Gogh Museums were a short walk away. The hotel is very nice and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great although a bit pricey. There is parking which we used and it was convenient. Would recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam. We would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomVery limited parking on site. By 16:00 all parking bays were full. Another guest was also trying to park. Friendly staff quickly produced a map of alternate parking (which suggests this is a common problem). Parking found 10 minutes walk away. Not ideal if arriving in the dark in an unfamiliar part of town.
Great breakfast - good selection. Fantastic location to access centre of Amsterdam. Very clean and modern room. Plenty of USB, USB-C and plug sockets. Good size silent fridge.

United StatesBedding was very comfortable but a little too warm (down comforter) for sleeping at night. We couldn’t get our thermostat in our room to go below 20.6 Celsius, even after having a hotel staff member coming to look at it (it’s supposed to be able to go down to 19 Celsius according to the thermostat). And the shower in the bathroom feels wonderful but there is not enough of a partition between the shower and the floor outside of the shower so you end up having a partially wet floor in the bathroom after every shower (we just used towels to soak it up).
Our family (two teenage boys) loved the hotel’s location (it’s RIGHT next to the Metro yet quiet!) and their delicious breakfast buffet that started our mornings before touring the City.

ChinaNot much to be improved. The room is a little bit small but good enough for single person to live in. Location is near the Noord station,5 min walk from the station. A little bit back street with few people smoking, but as the location is near local residence thus relatively safe.
Very nice clean modern room with very convenient and neat facilities. Hotel staff is very goof attitude and help you in anyway they can. The room is very quite.
