Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaYou have to take the stairs, which isn’t unusual but a lift or elevator would have been great. However, the staircase is pretty wide so it wasn’t horrible going up. If you have knee issues take note. You have to get the attention of the bar/restaurant staff to check in but it is pretty fast. It is on top of a restaurant/bar and people tend to hang out in the area until late so if people talking or singing disturbs you I would take that into consideration. Tv didn’t work but wifi was pretty good for everything.
Great location and easy to get the bus to Nijmegen centraal as the stop is right outside. Right in the centre of everything so easy access to shops and restaurants. Has windows that open so you can get fresh air. The room was pretty clean and felt clean. Good space and set up in the room. Also, saw that you can turn on heat if you need it. They dropped off fresh towels and toilet paper by the door even when I had the no disturb sign on the door. First drinks were free on my first order from the kitchen. Food was really good too!

LithuaniaThe hotel prices generally in Nejmigen was quite high so I guess the hotel more or less comes to the same price category with others. So lets say it was expensive, however more or less in the same level with other options. The room was missing some small facilities such as iron/ironing desk and cabinet with a rack, which is useful in a case you need your official clothes look tidy. The sockets for electric power were quite far away from the table so if you need to work lets say with a computer or other device which need power it is quite uncomfortable. So generally I presume the hotel is obviously more orientated towards holiday tourism rather then work. The last aspect is not even a drawback, but just information. For a young and healthy person the stairs are quite acceptable challenge, but I guess it would be rather hard for elder one/person with leg traumas ect. since the stairs were really steep. So this thing should be taken into consideration by the elder/hardly walking tourist, especially in a case he would choose to live in 2 or3 floor. Anyway those drawbacks are minor to compare with really nice environment, good food and friendly staff :)
I really enjoyed the friendly and helpful hotel staff. The General climate in a hotel was superb. The location is really good. The very esthetics of the environment is very creative, playful, making you at-least smile if not laugh, but only because it is really fun :) The breakfast was really good and big enough for a man to keep full if you choose wisely e.g. the omlet.

NetherlandsThe room (single) was rather small and a bit cramped. Fine if you just want a place to sleep, but not so good for spending time there during the day. Somehow it lacked practical things such as towel hooks, a coat hook, and a light switch by the bed.
Trendy & friendly hotel, situated very conveniently for discovering Nijmegen. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water.

NetherlandsIt's an old building and unfortunately noisy. In the night you could hear people upstairs move furniture (despite of two earplugs).
The main plus is the atmosphere: it is great, quite relaxed. The room is fun: it included a football table. The staff is very friendly. Food is good too. And the location is also good: 19 minutes walk from the train station, a bus stop in front of the hotel and close to the city center.

NetherlandsTiny thing: no shower curtains. The bathroom gets really wet after taking a shower.
Its interior design is fantastic. Very atmospheric and casual at the same time. With a great eye for details and consistency of a vintage fifties tongue in the cheek style. Lots of fun items and beautiful movie posters.

Good hotel not far located from the city center. At the ground floor there's a bar/restaurant with a good choice of drink and food. We stayed at the first floor but the room was quite silent. In the room there was a table football so we had fun by playing together. Staff always guest-friendly
