The toilet and the shower cabin were not really clean. In the spa we missed the steam cabin.

The room with view on the ocean seemed to be more spacious (renovated?). The hotel on a whole is always relaxing and spacious. The restaurant Latour was superb. As always the access to the beach and the ocean is one of the great plus points.

Hotel was good, but not a five star property - bathrooms in need of modern renovation, no minibar in room, decor in rooms is also dated. Staff was ok, but quite young and not terribly attentive or friendly.

Location was excellent. Hotel has a good gym and indoor pool. Was decorated very nicely. Lots of bars and restaurants, a on site hair salon and many function rooms.

They caused me a-lot of issues with my bank regarding the deposit. They deducted more than one by mistake. The return it all and kept one deposit. In the end i did my check out and they return it after one week.

A little outdated facilities in the room, especially bathroom. Though it’s a dog friendly hotel the areas to take your dog with you are limited, especially disappointed that no dogs were allowed in the beach house, while literally every other beach club along the beach allows dogs. As you pay quite some extra money for your dog this was not really satisfying.

Staff in the outdoor bars and restaurant were lovely and very attentive, but food was really not good! Comfy bed but uncomfortable pillows. The grounds are spectacular and definitely make it worth a visit, but the hotel is very dated and needs lots of investment. Also, there are so many extra charges! Dogs are 47.50 a night, parking is 17.50 then you have city tax and an environment fee so it was 100 euros a night in addition to the room rate just for extra charges! You also have to pay to sit outside on a lounger - 20 euros a day.

Nothing - all was what we wanted

I had to put a colleague/friend from Kenya and her daughter plus a friend in here because some work on my home had overrun. We booked two nights and the hotel were very helpful in extending for another two. The two girls were absolutely thrilled to be in such a fine hotel and loved their stay as did my colleague. The staff were incredibly helpful when I needed to extend twice plus letting me use the lounge to take a work call. Would definitely use again.

The property looks tired, in need of renovation. The pool/spa area is embarrassing, steam room not working, sauna not hot. The reception staff members I dealt with were arrogant and unhelpful, not professional. I have been coming to Huis ter Duin for a very long time, always lived coming here but it’s now time for renovations and updates.

the breakers restaurant was horrendous, the terrace just ok for the high prices. The gym could do with some free weights and new mats etc. i know this os being worked on.

The Hotel staff were friendly specially Mr. Amr of the night shift who gave me full idea of the hotel and the area, the check-in/out staff as well. I enjoyed the stay, thanks to the prime location directly on the beach and walking distance to the shops around.

First room was situated next to the elevator. This was quite annoying as the elevator was constantly making a weird noise when passing by. It got so annoying that we had to switch rooms.

Every (little) extra is being charged, i.e. towels for the beach, sunbeds, no refill of minibar free of charge. Breakfast way too expensive for ambience and offered variety. Indoor pool area needs definitely renovation. Friendly mess of staff doesn’t live up to Grand Hotel expectations.

Highly overpriced hotel without offering anything that a standard 4-star, and even good 3-star hotel cannot offer. For example, the room and especially the bathroom was visibly old with the bathroom not even having an electricity socket!!! The bike rental did not have a good selection of bikes so very limited choice of bikes were available.

Our room was next to the elevators, which were unusually loud. They sounded like they needed maintenance.

Friendly, attentive staff. Well-appointed room. Dog-friendly. Air conditioning worked very well. Pull-out sofa bed was nice for our kid. BLT Restaurant was nice for dinner and watching the sunset.

Some parts of the Hotel are in need for an update, all clean and well maintained, but feels outdated from time to time.

The whole team made you feel welcome and and at home. Great variety of facilities, especially the restaurants.
