How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Parking and Breakfast are expensive.
The Rooms are very nice and big. The Bed was very good. The location is a bit outside the main city but there is a tram stop nearby and the locality is very safe.

The bed was somewhat too soft - there were additional mattresses on it. As we didn't stay for too long, we didn't remove them.
Nice hotel in a quite district, yet well connected to the centre of the city by a tram. It takes 20-30 minutes to get directly to the center. Exceptionally friendly staff. The room spacious and well-equipped.

Washing machine instructions were confusing.

For a place outside of AMS without coffee and cleaning service, and for my stay in May (not yet high season), I found it expensive. 1) NOTE that the yellow space with the kind bed is NOT a room! It does NOT have a door and it does not get isolated from the living room! So if some one snores there, you will hear it on the sofa! :D 2) They do NOT clean! They change the towels and empty the trash, but they do NOT clean the floor! 3) The room was small for four people. The lamp above the dining table was too low and we had to be careful not to hit our head when cleaning the table. 4) Going to the tulip garden, I would recommend to buy the ticket online. I did buy from the reception, but the problem is that these super-nice people did not know that they sold me the ticket of a specific agency, and they told me to get the bus 800 sth from RAI. There, I was told that the ticket is not for that bus, but the driver was nice enough to let us in and then we faced again a problem at the entrance of the garden and on the way back. Anyways, every one was cool around it and it worked smoothly, but I think next time I would buy it online.
* Location: with Tram 5 you reach the museum centers in about 15 min. Convenient. * Area around this place are clean, green and nice! * 9 min to supermarket! * Space in bathroom and toilet air-fan were great! * They nicely put 4 Nespresso coffee caps to welcome us (we were 4 people) (but if you need more, you have to pay 1 euro per caps, so bring yours!)

The lights in the room is not bright enough. Everything is dim and therefor not easy to work in.
Good location - easy to travel to center of Amsterdam.

I hope the lighting in the room can be brighter. It would enhance the overall ambiance and make it more comfortable for guests.
The hotel room was comfortable and well-equipped, suitable for our short stay with four adults. However, upon entering our room, we noticed a broken lamp. We brought this to the attention of the receptionist, and the assigned staff quickly and efficiently fixed it with a very friendly attitude. Unfortunately, our room was located on the ground floor with windows overlooking the car park, so we cannot comment on the view. While the kitchen was well-equipped, we found it to be a bit small compared to the room I stayed in during a previous visit, probably due to room layout. On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located near a tram station, providing easy access to attractions if needed. Additionally, the outdoor car park was clean and well-maintained. During my visit, the hotel provided free parking as part of a promotional offer. I believe this promotion ended at the end of March 2024.

This was our 3rd time staying here so we like the location but noticeable how inflation has increased prices considerably over the years both for accommodation and public transport etc,
Friendly staff and great location for our visit to see a hockey tournament in the Wagener stadium. 20 minute walk along a quite canal path and also very close to the airport.

Nice area, close to transportation and quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. Glad we stayed outside of the main city so we can also unwind and relax during the evening The hotel offered many great facilities such as a mini shop, laundry service and a restaurant. Everything we ever needed was inside our hotel room

The kitchen cleaning liquid is limited. When travelling with family single sachet may not be enough to clean the utensils.
Location of the Hotel is very convenient. Rooms were good and also the kitchen and Bathroom. They are clean and fresh. Beds are good. Staff was very helpful. They allowed us to store baggage and also use washroom which is exceptionally good.

The service in the restaurant was very slow and the breakfast choice and quality was very poor! Staff could’ve been friendlier.
Rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The tram station was very close by, just a few minutes walk.
