Cavallaro Hotel is perfect. First: Silvana is exceptional; she drove all the way to Delft to bring us the cash we’d left in the room safe. We were totally blown away! The suite was very elegantly decorated with beautiful accessories, furniture and finishing touches. The room, which opens onto a private terrace, felt like a calm oasis with full length block-out drapes, beautiful wood floors, lovely wallpaper and lighting. The elegant black and gold bathroom, with a shower and tub, has excellent fixtures, great lighting and a view of the terrace. We arrived to a vase of pink roses and a welcome note. The train station, Grote Markt etc are easy walking distance as are very good restaurants.

Hotel is a misnomer - it is rooms with no other facilities. Very steep stairs to all four rooms.

Good location near the central square with restaurants nearby. About 15 minutes walk from the station.

Hotel is in a central location near the train station and main attractions. The room is spacious, clean and luxurious. Communication with hotel staff, Silvana, is via WhatsApp, and she is prompt and helpful in her replies. There is no lift, so need to be prepared to carry the luggage up a flight of stairs. Highly recommended to stay here if the latter is not a problem.

Can't think of anything. You should be aware when booking that there is no one on site (i.e. no reception), with that said the team is available via phone or What's App 24/7.

its a staffless hotel, so you get in via an code. This works great, but i'm a little old fashion and like to have contact with the staff. But this does not hold me back to book here again

Very nice, high quality and personalized details (complementary mini bar, custom welcome card, friendly personell (welcoming/cleaning and shop) and in general definitely on the level they say they are. Location was superb and we'll go back when visiting Haarlem again.

Perhaps one of the best hotels in Haarlem. Although they offer just a couple of rooms (no reception or ammenities), the rooms are very luxurious (Italian) design. I have seen prices vary from high to ‘acceptable’: but worth it. Excellent location (as I always prefer). Also handy that one doesnt need a key but a code (may also be a negative for some people?)

Slight smoking smell in room from previous tenants

Perfect location and room was top notch with lots of room and high end fixtures. Host thought of everything ( except a luggage rack). Perfect location just a short walk from train station and to the groete markt and shopping

If you have the room facing the street, and you are light sleeper, you might want to avoid booking as during weekends you will have noise until late from the weekend party people.

Really nice room and bathroom with very comfortable beds.and services like complementary drinks, bath robes etc. The room is really in the heart of Haarlem, 2 mins walk from the main square. Steep stair bring you to your room, so if you are less mobile this hotel will be a challenge for you. Staff super friendly and at your disposal when ever you want.

the only think I could say is the steps are a little steep and there’s no lift…but it wasn’t a problem for us.

The location is fantastic and Silvana was really helpful. I really liked the fact we were asked each day if we wanted our room to be cleaned and that anything we needed Silvana sorted for us. Silvana even posted a charging cable back to us in the Uk that we left by mistake….Fantastic service 👍

Silvana was an extraordinarily welcoming hostess. We arrived early and Silvana interrupted her day to get us checked in and comfortably situated. Our room had large windows overlooking the street. Very light and airy during the day but quiet at night. Extremely comfortable and modern room (with heated bath floors!).

Perhaps we misunderstood the definition of Boutique Hotel but we were expecting a small exclusive hotel rather than something more like an Airbnb arrangement. We never met anyone from the hotel, all correspondance was done by What's App or email. There is no lobby or reception, we received a external and room code to enter. It all worked very smoothly and our host made themselves 24/7 available by text but we missed the personal interaction, the facilities and the space of a regular hotel. We had a lovely time, could not fault the room in any way and would return but it was not what we expected. Very steep, typically Dutch staircase.

Very central and an exceptionally luxurious room. Everything you could need was provided, spotlessly clean and very high quality. Lots of shops, restaurants and cafes right on the doorstep. Good communication with host.
