Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanSome insects may come into room. Ants may visit your food if left on the table. Place a little far from most places.
The staffs of villas are really nice. The places offers meals until 9PM, which is good for us with packaged tours. Reasonable prices of food. Hot water is sufficient. Quite place with good view of stars.

United StatesShower head had to be replaced and bathtub didn't retain water. As soon as I reported the issue with the shower, someone came to fix it.
This villa was perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay. It was beautifully designed, and there was a rice farm next door that created an authentic natural experience. The friendly staff arranged activities and spa treatments for me based on my requests. Dewa was a great driver and guide. I definitely would stay again.

Czech RepublicVillas have their best time behind. It must be hard to maintain a building in this kind of weather, but there are some broken shelves, wall paint is falling in some places. It needs a little bit of care, I think we hit a time right before maintenance, otherwise an awesome place with awesome people!
Beautiful vacation! The staff is hardworking and kind! Everyday a new bed, clean floors, new towels and more. The place is really nice. Food was ok. Quiet place next to a rice field. I would love to go back some day! Thank you for everything! :)

AustraliaThe quality of breakfast could be improved - golden syrup is not maple syrup. The toilet seat must be fixed as the whole toilet moves, making it an uncomfortable experience. It also needs a lock on the villa entrance; when you leave the villa, you can lock it. Unfortunately, the lock at the main door is only from inside.
It was a fantastic villa with gorgeous views and ample shade during the day. The pool was great, too - probably can do a bit with maintenance. I loved that it was right next to the rice field and within walking distance to some of the nearest local shops if you want to buy local snacks or drinks. It was approximately a 20-30 min bike ride from the central Ubud area. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay for a couple!

AustraliaFood wasn't particularly bad, there is just not many options in the area as this is located about 20 minutes away from Ubud centre in the middle of rice fields / nature. No other options to eat other than food offered in the hotel, which could have more options. Breakfast was good, again we expected a nice fruit platter as advertised in the fotos. We had to ask for the food that was listed as "all inclusive" in the menu as this was not given to us at first.
The private villa has an amazing view fronting a rice field. The pool is also well maintained and constantly filtering. The villa itself was very clean, linen and bathroom. The way the villa is constructed does leave an open space on the room, you will encounter small geckos. We didn't not have issues with other bugs / ants as noted in some reviews, however you do have to be mindful about dropping food to the floor this will attract ants outside. Waking up to the rice field and nature sounds was an incredible experience. Definitely recommend this stay if you want to relax a couple of days by the pool and lay back ! Staff was absolutely LOVELY, the main receptionist made us always feel cared for. We also booked a tour around the area and loved this as we were close by to the famous rice fields and sacred water temple.

GermanyDesign of the sliding doors. They were only secured at the top and were very unstable on the bottom. So the doors were swaying back and forth when they were pushed. We came during the rainy season, during which there was a heavy thunderstorm on two days. The strong wind pushed the rain through the relatively large gap at the bottom of the hanging sliding doors into our room, and thus flooded the front part of our room's floor. We had to sacrifice our towels to keep our room floor from getting wet. (Kindly address this for future guests during the rainy season.) Secondly, I would suggest lining your waste bins with a plastic bag. So the guests do not soil your beautiful rattan bins when they throw their trash inside. :) We also had the issue of a feral cat coming in the evening into the open concept kitchen and overturning the trash bin and sink area looking for food scraps. Maybe a more secure trash bin would be good. It would save your staff the messy cleanup job the following morning, left behind by the cat. :) There were no hangers in the closets, and the provided bathrobes did not have a string to tie up the front of your bathrobe. Which made the bathrobe useless. These are just minor comments. If the management can address these issues, this will hopefully further improve your future guests' experience at your villa. :) Despite this, we still really enjoyed our stay at your villa. Beautiful place!
The setting of the villa with peaceful and beautiful rice field surroundings. It was a pleasure to wake up every morning to the view of the rice fields, rice farmers and have breakfast on the private terrace. Breakfast was very very good! Large selection of breakfast items (both continental and Indonesian) , fresh fruit juices, and was beautifully presented. We could also see fireflies from our villa during the night hours. :) Overall, I would say that Three Gold private villas offer a nice stay with great countryside vibes, is a nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and has some luxuries (private pool, bath tub, outdoor shower) at a reasonable price. If you don't mind the 20 min car ride from Ubud center, then this is a nice accommodation choice.

United KingdomThe location is a bit inconvenient, its highly suggested that you rent a car/scooter if you stay here. Might also consider they use a water boiler tank for showers so you do have to wait if you use up all the hot water but other than that the facilities are great!
Really good value for money, the view is stunning, perfect for a getaway from the crazy busy city streets around the island.
