How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The property's location is a bit far from centre of Kuta beach, but there are plenty of ways to go there by taxi, motobike or walk. It is reasonable price and nice facilities and there are many eateries and massage shop and shopping shop near the property too. The property contains two bed rooms, two toilets and one kitchen+lilving room. The host was very helpful and resonded very promptly. It is nice property to stay by family or group of friend like 4-5 pax. I recommend to my friends.

Was all good.
Clean with good air conditioning. Central location. Comfortable beds. Well stocked apartment. Good clean kitchen and full sized fridge. Very close to airport. Good communication Great sized pool. Sea view from balcony.

Location was perfect and close to the airport Host organised pickup from the airport, and included some snacks and drinks for us on arrival, which was a very nice and welcoming touch.Hosts organised everything for our stay, apartment was spotless and clean, and very comfortable

We were on vacation with our family. The apartments are located in a convenient and quiet area. Free underground parking, beautiful lobby, large swimming pool. Very beautiful view from the balcony, you can see the ocean, which is a 4-minute walk away. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay. The most important advantage is the owner Jeff. When we arrived, our refrigerator was filled with all kinds of drinks, snacks, tea, coffee, and spices. Jeff responded promptly to all of our questions and requests. We were glad to meet such a pleasant person on our trip.

Loved everything about this accommodation. Highly recommend 10/10.
The whole apartment was amazing! We absolutely loved every moment there. It was very clean, it was homely, comfortable and had everything to be self sufficient. Owners were great to deal with and had the best communication. We will definitely be going back when we are in Bali next. Location is perfect close to the beach, shopping malls, cheap massages and popular restaurants. Best sunsets and afternoon sun from the balcony of the apartment. Quieter area of Kuta but has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

the toilet became blocked on the first night and it wasn’t fixed making the ensuite unusable.
the location was great however whilst in the residential section the hotel itself that it joins wasn’t well maintained and the rooftop bar wasn’t there anymore! the building looks old and dated.

Kitchen could be a tiny bit cleaner but only a minor point!
Lovely apartment with great views from the balcony. We worked from the apartment for 4 days, internet is really fast and the space is very comfortable. Bedrooms are lovely and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Flushing in the master room didn't work so only used one toilet in the other room Showers room are fully enclosed with glass screen from floor to ceiling without air access to exhaust fans - located in separated closet room in the bathroom Kid found brown marks in one of the towels

comfortable 2 separate rooms with large double beds and 2 separate showers and toilets. The kitchen has a gas stove. The kitchen has everything you need, there is drinking water. The owner is very responsive, helped us with renting a car with a driver. I recommend to everyone. There is good fast internet!

the Bali water smell in the main bathroom but that wouldn’t stop us staying again
it was clean and comfy and spacious! the view over the rooftops to the sea is lovely and peaceful
