Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayBreakfast lacks variety. There are a few coffee shops in the vicinity that offer nice variety and high quality (maybe a partnership would be beneficial). The rooms need some improvements (some doors don’t close properly, leaving room for mosquitoes to enter; there were no pool towels available).
The trip from the crazy main street to Raditya Villa, through the rice fields, is amazing (either on foot or by scooter)! The staff is extremely helpful and they also provide other services, like day tours and transfers.

AustraliaLots of mozzies and no spraying and burning off of rice paddy one day made it a bit uncomfortable. Some hooks would be great.
Such a lovely little hotel with a nice pool and helpful staff. Comfy bed and lovely view from our room.

United KingdomIt is down a windy road only accessible by foot or scooter but that’s what puts it in a quiet location.
Such a peaceful location looking over rice fields. The room was lovely and clean. Outside bathroom caused us no bug problems. Lovely breakfast each morning delivered to your room.

Great location in the middle of the rice fields. Very friendly and helpful staff, they arranged the transport of our bags by scooters which was great (and impressive) as you can’t pass the location by car. Breakfast is very basic but included.

PortugalIt should be said that it’s impossible to go with a car until the hotel, and it’s a quite long road to go by foot. The best way to go to there is to get a scooter
The staff was very kind and helpful and the location was really good and calm

United KingdomThe hotel is off the beaten track which is a bit of a walk (a beautiful walk though). You can get a scooter if you aren't up for the walk!
A lovely stay, staff were very helpful and the place was very clean. Brilliant size room overlooking the pool, where we sat and had breakfast each morning. Hotel also helped book tours and airport taxi.

United KingdomAs nice as the drive/walk to the hotel was, it was just a bit to far for us so probably wouldn’t stop here again.
Staff were amazing, very helpful. Picked us up for the hotel and took us back to be picked up. Hotel only actually has around 5 properties, the room we had was very nice but just be aware there’s lots of mosquitoes and bugs!

New ZealandFor some reason we couldn't get the hot water working on the shower, but not really a big deal since it was extremely hot.
The staff was amazing. They helped us sort out all our transport within Ubud. The room was great, the bed was super comfy and big and the included breakfast made things a lot easier for us.

ItalyIt’s hard to say we didn’t like something .
We stayed 6 nights in Raditya villa and We really enjoyed. The property is allocated in the middle of rice fields but just 15 -20 mins walk out of very busy Ubud city center. You can reach it only on foot or by small motorcycle, meaning no cars in this area. The walk is enjoyable as you have several small shops and caffès along the road but you also admire the nature and rice fields. The property is small ,has just 5 villas , but the rooms are spacious , clean and there is a nice little swimming pool .the owner and staff are very kind and helpful, they will come down to pick you up with a motorcycle ( if you don’t want to adventure yourself and rent one ), in alternative there is always a grab if you don’t won’t to walk . Also for those who want to do some yoga there is a Ubud yoga house just around 400-500 m from the facility.

SpainNothing to dislike about property. -Take some mosquito repellent, you will need it -Car will only take you yo the main road (the walk to the property is beautiful though) -Take some flashlight for night walks
Mr. Made, his family and staff were amazing. The breakfast was good, on our last day we had to take an early transfer and they managed to prepare an early breakfast for us. They picked us up and dropped us off on the main road. The room was clean. We booked a tour with then to see the main attractions around Ubud and it was really worth it.

United StatesThe only comment is that if staying on the lower floor, there isn't as much privacy as all the doors / windows are glass, unless you make sure the curtains are drawn. Otherwise perfect.
This site was beautiful and the host was amazing. One night I needed to leave my hotel at 2am to join tour for a sunrise hike and the host offered to take me to the pick up spot. The team went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect in the middle of the rice fields. I'd stay here again! Thanks!

United KingdomNothing, was amazing
Amazing location, away from the business of the main road. The walk from accommodation to the main is about 10-15 minutes but along the way there are cafes, restaurants, space, small shops and an amazing view. The staff and owner are amazing, our hot water wasn't working and Marta the owner fixed it. He's so friendly and him and his staff helped pick us up and back through the narrow road. Breakfast is good and the view is amazing, seeing the rice fields and sunset and sunrise. You can spend your time just within the area if you want more quiet and nature. Really good

Really lovely walk to the accommodation through the rice fields in a beautiful area. Quiet and it is no issue that there is no car access as the staff helped us to get us and our luggage by scooters and also brought back. They were also super friendly and helpful organising transportation. Breakfast was tasty, not so many choice but tasty and with fresh peeled fruits every day. Our highlight was the outside shower from which we saw the moon!
