How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Internet wasn’t great in the villas. It is possible for mosquitoes to get in through face sliding door. Mosquito nets would make this place perfect!
Fantastic place, great staff and nice breakfast. Landscaping is really nice and good outdoor shared area.

I'm a pillow lover and they were hard for my liking but that's being fussy.
Great value for money and facilities are very good for budget travelers. Included breakfast and free tea and coffee all day. Can refill water as much as you need. Can use the kitchen area throughout the day and use the fridges. Staff were nice and rooms are big with outside shower which I loved. Also locally owned which for us was a bonus!!

Worst wifi ever… you need a SIM card if u need internet! Bed linen haven’t been changed in 10 days!
Location was amazing, very quiet, it’s like a small jungle nest. Staff is super smiley and very friendly. Room was nice, beds are sooooo comfy! Good breakfast!

The outside bathroom - even though it’s beautiful - is poorly built: the rain will soak through the bamboo roof and stay in puddles in front of the sink. Probably this only applies to the bungalow I stayed in. The common area is not really comfortable to sit, but there are comfy loungers at the pool.
Calm location, spacious bungalows with AC, small pool to chill out at. The included breakfast consists of a selection of basic items, there’s complimentary tea and coffee in the common area at the pool.

The aircon was not cooling, and that's all.
Our stay was very pleasant, we've booked one week and decided to stay the whole month. Great location! The room is spacious and clean. The place is very calm and comfortable. The swimming pool and garden is a plus. The breakfast is great and free. The staff is very kind and always available for anything you might need.

Try not to get the room that has another room above it as you can hear every footstep!
The room was really nice, and so was the bathroom (outdoor shower vibe). The breakfast was really nice - pancakes with bananas, yummy omelettes, and they give you a little fruit plate. Location is really good - local yoga spot is walkable, as are some spas.

Some rooms the wifi doesn’t work well - a note if you’re here to work or need Wi-Fi. Request a room with strong wifi.
I e stayed here twice now on trips to Lombok and enjoyed it. The rooms are nice and spacious, the bathrooms are nice - beds have mosquito nets which is nice. AC works well in the rooms. The free breakfast is good and there’s all day coffee and tea.

The property exceeded our expectations and is much nicer than in the pictures (rare!!). We loved the pool, the gardens and the rooms were really big and spacious! Really recommended.

No fridge, no safe box, no hairdryer, no kettle
The air conditioning in our room didn’t work so we got a better room without paying more. Nice swimming pool.

The towel and linen are a bit dated.

Kuta suffers with power cuts. The beach is 30mins walk from Palm Green and its not the best. The water pressure in the shower was poor at times. The bed sheet was ripped, and the towels were thin and worn.
Palm Green is away from the hussle and noise of central Kuta but within walking distance of the town. 15 mins via 2 different routes. The 20m pool area is very nice with loungers. Breakfast is very good, fresh fruit and a smoothie followed by your own choice of eggs, porridge or banana pancakes. Tea, coffee and bottled water are available all day from the open air breakfast area. Our room was very spacious with an open air bathroom and a veranda for sitting on and a rack for drying A huge selection of eating and drinking places in Kuta. Try Mr Crepe for delicious crepes in the evening on the main street. Kuta has lots of supermarkets. A small selection of restaurants near the hotel were also good.

That the power went off, but we heared it happens more and more in Kuta of the growing tourism. So no worries.
We had a really lovely stay. The family who owned it was very kind and helpfull. The rooms were clean, the pool was very nice, breakfast was great, possibility to rent scooters, they were also aible to book us a taxi to our next accomodation. Great experience here!
