Cleaning of the room and the common areas could be improved.

Friendly and cozy homestay not too far from the center of Ubud. We liked that you could reach within walking distance the Monkey Forest and explore Ubud surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable. We could sleep very well as there was no noise or disturbances during our stay. The pool is also great for a warm afternoon and relaxing. The hosts are also specially kind and welcoming. Breakfast was okay and served basics of a western breakfast.

This was our first time in this beautiful guesthouse, but it will be now our place to go back to every time we come back to Bali. Well central located, yet away from the road noises, amazing big pool, fantastic breakfast! The staff go above and beyond in anything they can do for you! So kind, generous, friendly. My partners shoes broke whilst we were there, and not only they gave him a spare pair, they took his shoes to fix for him and return them the next day!! They also allowed us to use our room until our afternoon pick up for the airport, which was perfect to have a last chill by the pool and a shower before leaving. Thank you Wayan and Alit, and everyone else there for having us staying at your beautiful place, we will definitely be back!

The creaking bed which was nonetheless comfortable

Great location in the centre of Ubud. The swimming pool is the perfect place to relax. There is a temple on the property and a lovely entrance with fish. Mayan, her sister and the staff are all lovely.

The hotel doesn't have parking, and it's tucked away on a lane off the main road. Also, the Wi-Fi was weak.

The property was on the main street and close to supermarket, ATM, alot of warungs and also walkable everywhere. Clean and spacious room and the family is always around to make sure the stay is comfortable. A big gallon of water near the reception is available for me to fill my bottle and the breakfast is generous in size with pancake, egg and fruits with fruit juice, coffee/tea. The pool is lovely and quite a decent size and the garden environment is tranquil. I would definitely stay here again and again

An in-between curtain would have been great as our room was at the ground floor. But for us it was not a big deal to close the regular curtains.

Great quiet and friendly balinese spot in the heart of Ubud with everything you need. Loved the little patio and beautiful balinese buildings at the front. They were super sweet for my son who loved feeding the fish ;)

Manage your expectations on the bathroom and amenities. It is slightly rundown and old but enough for the purpose.

The location is amazing. Easy to find and quiet. Around 10-15 minutes walk to the centre. The family and staff were lovely, friendly and flexible. The breakfast was great. You get to hear the sound of nature at night in your sleep.

The best experience ever! I stayed 3 weeks and felt like at home. Rooms are clean, centrally located hotel, beautiful swimming pool. The most important I was involed and invited to attend local/traditional events. I felt like part of the family. Thanks a lot for a such a unique stay :)

I liked everything about the property. The only notes for fussy people are that the bathroom was dated and there was no mini fridge in the room. Both of these things didn’t bother me though 🙂

Merthayasa Bungalow 2 is fabulous! Large, clean rooms with good air con. The pool is also very clean and the location is in central Ubud with lots of restaurants nearby. The free breakfast was enjoyable too, you can have a selection of pancakes, omelettes, toast and fruit with tea, coffee and juices also available. The family are very welcoming and attentive, I would definitely stay again!

Great location, so peaceful place, nice pool and surrounding. Stuff is very helpful with everything (renting scooter, laundry, transfer,…). Room is spacious, clean and basic furnished. Breakfast is simple but enough to start a day. If you want be in the middle of Ubud center and have nice&peaceful place to stay, you should book this place.

We stay here for 4 days 3 nights. Location was superb. It is located at the center of Ubud but place is very peaceful and relaxing. And its very convenient near to the shops and supermarket. The rooms are spacious and tidy but the bathroom has no heater but that's not a problem on us. They clean the room everyday. And the owners were thoughtful. Will book here again.
