Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFacilities were a little run down and a bit dirty compared to other places we had stayed in Bali. The decking area in particular had green moss build up around the main areas, making it very dangerous to walk, in fact one of our kids did actually slip over and hurt themselves. There is also a walkway of stepping stones to one of the bedrooms, and again very slippery when wet because of the slime build up. Staff onsite was helpful, but sometimes hard to find /get hold of when we had run out of things like toilet paper.
Overall a nice place to stay and location was quiet. Staff were friendly and the breakfast provided was simple but nice. Kids loved the pool and pool table area

AustraliaBring your own charging adapters for USB’s. Only 1 x TV in the huge space we occupied. Being concrete type buildings, the poor design layouts of some of the spaces meant poor ventilation and left a musty smell occasionally. Also if you are after a completely secure complex this may not be your cup of tea. Although each of the bedrooms were lockable. Which was good enough for me.
There were many things to like. The asthetic look of the pool area and gardens was like something out of a tropical balinese dream. Geckos and birds, bats and the odd kitten would make appearances daily. All part of the bali experience. Very villa is very pleasing to the eye and had AC in each bedroom. The balinese styling of the kitchen and villa structures was also pleasing. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever needed. Our driver Gusti was a champion. He delivered the goods when it came to family day activities on more than one occasion. The villa location to Ubud centre was good too. You wouldn’t walk it but nothing a gojek cant fix. We hired a scooter to do any minimart trips we needed which was a massive time saver. Overall, the villa was massive and I’d say the pool area is the standout feature of the property.

New ZealandNo bathroom upstairs in the first building. one of the rooms had aircon in the bathroom and took a while to cool the place. That can be challenging when it's a hot day. overall the villa was great!
Staff were available to meet and greet at the property. They took us around the villa and showed us the property and amenities. Nicely laid out rooms with comfortable beds, facilities and the swimming pool was amazing. We'd love to stay back

AustraliaOdd layout. Aircon not in bedroom in guest house - aircon in room with hand basin only. Leaking bathroom closest to pool - constant wet floor.
Traditional style. Quiet with walkable shops and restaurants. Lovely driver and other staff. Secret suite up the waterfall steps. Great pool for adults.

SingaporeTwo bedrooms don’t have adjoining bathrooms. We thought the place looked a little different from the pictures.
The place was kept very clean and is near many restaurants and a mart. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. The pool table was a good touch.

AustraliaThe villa was exactly as described and met all our needs. It was perfect for our family of seven, grandparents, sons and two teenage grandkids. The staff were friendly and the drivers who took us around Ubud were patient and managed the hectic traffic efficiency as possible. Breakfast each morning was delicious and served well by the friendly staff.

AustraliaGreat villa, lots of room and pool table was a bonus. Quiet and secluded location, a few little restaurants and small shop in walking distance, main shopping area is 25 min walk or 5 min taxi ride. Days out and transport was all easily arranged through Jimmy. We enjoyed our stay.

AustraliaAlthough a beautiful walk way up to the top villa. It was super difficult to carry suitcases up there.
The villas were amazingly clean, new and spacious. The outdoors dining areas was brilliant in size and the overall plan of the villas was great. Cannot fault it. Jimmy (the host) was amazing, he came over personally to fix the wifi issue.

AustraliaWhilst the villa was lovely and extremely good value for money, privacy issues do need to be addressed. Visitors to the villa next door kept using the entrance to our villa to come and go rather than using their own entrance. I did not feel comfortable to laze around the pool. Previous guests had broken a chair and not reported it so when my son sat on it and it buckled we were charged the full cost of a replacement $200!. The owner would not admit to the possibility that it was it already damaged. This left a damper on our whole stay in Ubud. Staff were very friendly and helpful but came and went as they pleased. We didn't get the privacy we had hoped for.

SpainIn the other hand, a couple of rooms are extremely poorly designed, e.g. one has the AC over the sink in a separate room, which means if you want to cool down the bedroom you need to put the AC to the max at the sink room and leave all doors open. Shower right on top of the toilet. Extremely ugly decorations in the facade and around the house, (some kind of hilarious) such as the “marry me” message in golden letters ruining a beautiful statue. The worst was that they served the most disgusting breakfast we’ve ever tried, by far... It seems whoever planned and designed this place quit before finishing it.
This place is a total hit and miss, with some really nice features and others hard to understand. On the positive side: there are some really nice rooms, common area is nice to hang out with your friends, there are some incredible typical Balinese doors decorating the place and beautiful statues, a pond with fish and turtles, etc…

New ZealandNo privacy at all, staff came and went from our villa as they pleased, leaving our gates open for other guests and staff to wander in, and our littlest child to wander out. Rooms were good size but not well maintained., two of the three toilets didn't work, and Wifi barely worked. I wouldn't recommend for families with small kids.
The complex had plenty of character, great pond with fish and a turtle was a hit with our kids. Staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The villa was much much bigger than we expected. The bedrooms were huge and space was no issue at all. The pool was big, deep and crystal clear. Having a pool table was a fantastic bonus, as was the pond with fish and a turtle!
