Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyEverything was perfect.
I love this place. It is very close to the rice terraces and the atmosphere is so chilled. The owner did a tour with me in the area and I really enjoyed. My favorite hotel in Bali highly recommend it!

everything. The owners are really sweet and will make your stay really pleasant, they will take you around to show you their Rice field which is beautiful and so quiet. We slept like babies for me the geckos and frogs were like a rice field orchestra. Food also was really good and fresh with affordable price. They also organised for us the scooter. I can recommend this place 200% , just wish it could have been available for 2 nights.

CanadaWe stayed two nights with our two kids. The hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Putu took us around the rice fields, pointing out all the plants and he also took us on a hike the next day. They arranged scooters for us to rent so we could go visit some of the local sites. We felt so comfortable here and wish we could have stayed longer.

AustraliaThe unit was hot during our stay and the fan provided didn’t appear strong enough for the air to get through the mosquito net surrounding the bed. I heard they may be considering adding portable air conditioning units in the future.
Our unit was perfect. We had the stand alone one which was our preference. Putu and his lovely wife were the perfect hosts. Putu and his cousin offer to take you on a tour to the famous rice fields and other sights which is a fantastic day out. Whilst it is in a beautiful location and remote, everything you need is there. The breakfasts were delicious and additional meals purchases were lovely and not at all expensive.

JapanI wish there was an AC in our room or screens on the doors and windows to keep the bugs out. There was a mosquito net around the bed which helped keep the bugs away a little but having some air circulating the room from outside would have kept the room cooler. There was a fan which helped but screens would keep out the bugs and geckos.
We loved how sweet and accommodating the family was. We were shown around the grounds and offered tours to explore the surrounding area for a good price. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner options were tasty too.

GermanyThis is the most beautiful and amazing little Homestay we’ve been to on our journey through Bali. Putu and Nengah are so nice and welcoming!! It has beautiful little rooms and a terrace with an amazing view over ricefields and the mount agung! We also recommend to eat all your food at the Homestay since Nengah cooked the most delicious food we’ve had so far too! Putu also took us to a trekking tour through the jungle and we learned so much about the plants and ate so many fruits that just grew next to our way!! So we really recommend asking him about tours through the area with him! The room was so clean and flooded with light from all sides with a very comfortable bed! Highly recommended!!!

Hong KongPutu and his wife Nengha were such amazing hosts. Putu gave us a tour of his expansive family farm while Nengha cooked up amazing meals. The views are spectacular! Only a short scooter trip from the Jatiluwih rice fields. Would recommend to anybody looking for a laid back, comfortable lodging in the countryside.

SwedenIt’s a few kilometers to village, restaurants etc but you can easily rent motorbike to go in for dinner. We did also choose to say away from city center because we wanted to be close to nature which this place is great at
The calm and quietness of the stay at the rice terraces. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the mini tour that was given to us around the neighborhood, rice terrace and jungle

Czech RepublicAccommodation in the heart of nature, without air conditioning (but that's part of it), surrounded by beautiful rice fields. The owner takes you on a hike through them, then you walk through the rainforest and end up in a beautiful temple (one of the top ones we saw). Awesome. Two days full of experiences.

NetherlandsWe absolutely loved everything 🥰
I am convinced that we stayed with the nicest and purest familie in Bali! We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this serene environment. The hosts can provide you with so many things. The meals they make you are soooo good, loved having dinner on the terrace. Room is clean, spacious and the beds are super comfy. Totally recommend staying here if you want to experience more of rural Bali and relax. The walks Putu does on the rice fields are super beautiful and interesting 🥰

A fantastic location if you wish to explore the real rural Bali! One of my favourite places I stayed and the whole family really takes care of you! I highly recommend staying here at least a couple nights, renting a scooter and going on local adventures. Also Argus was a great driver for getting me to and from my stay at Kubu.

GermanyNothing to complain.
Perfect for short or also for long term stay. WiFi was always good. The location is in the middle of their own rice fields and fruit trees. They give you a round for free and also let you try their fruits for free. Their English is pretty good and they are always happy to answer your questions. They make the food fresh and use also their own rice and fruits. Very delicious. They also brought us a scooter for very little price. The location is near to the Jatiluwih rice fields of UNESCO Welterbe. But the local fields are much more worth the time. It is a very peaceful clean place. Would always recommend it.
