Our stay at Kardia Resort Gili Trawangan was amazing from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

The staff were great and hospitable - Hadi at reception was very welcoming and helpful . We had an issue with the water supply in the room and the team worked promptly on resolving this . They even offered a complimentary transport back to the boat which was an appreciated gesture . Highly recommend the hotel if you ate looking for stunning sunset views and accommodation at Gilli T Island.

They are two cats who are always around the hotel. If you are afraid of them or have fobia is a big problem. They are jumping on chairs, beds… the staff trys to helps but you know…

The staff were unbelievably helpful, and I can't thank Mella, Johan, and the brilliant restaurant staff enough for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The area that the hotel is located in is the perfect balance of quiet and calm, whilst being easily accessible to great restaurants and bars. The room was very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've stayed in! Thank you all at Kardia, we look forward to returning 😀

I strongly believe in reviews but in this case (and in the whole island) are not very truthful. Location is not that good. It's in between the sweet spot for sunset (best spot for quietness, couples and family) and far away from center (party and crowd spot), so you got neither. Their beach isn't good for swimming (mostly rocks, not coral reef). Upgrade rooms are not worthy, we had the best room with private pool, but it was the most away room in the hotel so you were kind of "out of the hotel".

The staff was amazing, they are worried all the time that you are having the best time, and gave us tips to go everywhere around the island. We even took a photo at the end. They even prepared us fresh aloe vera for sun protection. Breakfast is great, and sunset events are amazing also, although it is not the best place to watch the sunset. The location is nice if you want to stay away from center. Rooms are good and the outdoor bathroom makes it more special.

It feels new, everything works. They even give you anti-mosquito thing in the room. Everything is taken care off. Bed was great and everything was clean.

The biggest downsize, which made the hotel a 9/10 instead of a 10/10, was that it did not actually rent bikes (albeit in the website they say they do): this is done by a third party, who operate on different times than the hotel. Also, the third party don't have bikes with kids seats, which can wreck your holiday (everything is done by bike in Gili) if you don't find a provider downtown. The hotel also doesn't have the contact of any provider with bikes with kids seat, which is a bummer and makes no sense - after spending one morning, I easily found two contacts (the only thing is that the bikes with kids seats were scarce, so you have to book them early morning and spend some time searching around). Another downpoint is that the reception is not open 24 hours, so if you need something you may end up having to wait until next morning. We had one loud neighbour fighting his girlfriend at 2am, yelling, banging doors, and we had no one to help us. Also, food was usually very good but there was no regularity: you could order the same dish two days in a row and they could come in a very different way hahaha.

The hotel is amazing. It is situated on a quiet and nice place, has great structure, rooms, swimming pools and restaurant. Staff is also very nice and are always smiling and trying to be helpful.

The food. They have a long way to go... The only restaurant will serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner. The presentation is good but the taste need a big improvement.

Location Is quite remote. Need to use bike or horse carriage to explore the island.

The aircon wasn’t as good as we would like (but we like a really cold room). Some things in the rooms were starting to deteriorate. E.g the bathroom sink has a crack in it. The electric lights were also a bit unreliable and didn’t always work. It is impossible to dry your togs. So maybe a towel rack or something on the patio would help. It seemed to take a long time for our room to be serviced each day. On the worst day it didn’t get serviced until around 4pm. Water for the room is provided in reusable glass bottles. We assumed that it was filtered water but it would be good if they included an explanation which confirmed this.

Excellent location. Lots of swimming pools. Pools were not overcrowded. The hotel had regular free entertainment. E. G fire dancing. Great place to view the beach at sunset from. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly and had good English skills.

Highly recommend this hotel to stay on the island. Just consider that it’s on the opposite side of the boat drop off. Staff is amazing thanks a lot for everything!

This side of the island expose to harsh weather more compare to the other side. As far for me, do avoid coming in during the off / rainy season. However, due to this location we were able to enjoyed a brief sunset. Kindly do something about the water pressure in the room and the public pool shower area. Weak water pressure. And it was very hot as well. Somehow the aircond did not cools down the room at night.

Checked in process was done smoothly and we love the welcome drink they served. One of the good one . We were taken good care by the staff. We LOVE the singer and the food was so delicious. Do order their filet mignon with chimichurri. You can rent a bike from the place if you feel like you want to cycle around the island. The whole area are clean and well managed. Our room was pretty. Quite spacious with a big bed for two. We stay there comfortably for 2 nights.

I’ve had an amazing experience in Kardia Resort! Great facilities, beautiful pool area with fantastic sunset view, happy hour with live music every day, rooms are modern and clean, loved the outdoor bathroom as well. I also liked the location, which is in the quieter area but still a short bike ride away to anything you might need. But most importantly, the staff is so friendly and helpful, they made me feel at home for my first ever solo trip :)

The staff were lovely so attentive. Breakfast was amazing, with such a range of different food. Locations was great too, this side of the island is a lot quieter but you can easily cycle to the other side if you want to go somewhere a bit livelier. Turtle point isn’t too far either. Rooms were lovely as well.

The walls of the villa was like paper. We heard every single noize from next door, especially at night. However, if you text the reception to help with any nnoise, they come even the middle of the night to ask the neighbour for silence. The staff at the restaurant is a bit tricky, every day they told us something different about what is included and what is not included in breakfast menu, and there were different missing ingredients for our breakfast choices almost every day. "Sorry no banana today, sorry no avocado today" etc. It was funny after a point. There were some programs in the evening which were great, but the price for the archipelago dinner was extremely overpriced versus the better quality restaurants around. We did not see any guests taking that dinner offer, so would worth it to think about pricing. The bikes offered by the hotel are very outdated and overused, we suggest to rent elsewhere in the island where you can get some well maintained bikes.

Location is a bit further from the hustle and bustle, but still OK by bike from harbour. Overall great location with nice sunsets. We rented a pool villa which had direct pool access. The villa pool was amazing, and the room was also nicely decorated and OK quality. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast has lots of options to choose from. WE were offered afternoon snacks every day at 4 pm, the churros was the best! The staff is super friendly. Great shows and programs in the restaurant in the evenings.
