Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomChakra Living is a little gem right in the middle of central Ubud. A short distance to the main road so great access to the Palace, markets and restaurants yet quiet enough to relax in a rustic retreat including a natural pool. The room has beautiful features including a traditional Balinese door and rock bath that the staff had drawn complete with local flowers. An extra special touch was the birthday cake and the kind welcome and lovely takeaway fruit that was arranged when we had an early trip. The balcony dining also looks directly over the water palace so whilst missing entry we got a free show! Would definitely recommend.

RussiaToilet has zero privacy, can’t make any sounds, because it’s separated from main room with only fabric. Didn’t have clothes drying rack, however in neighbour room was there. No adaptor. When we booked, we needed twin room and it showed twin or double is available. And I couldn’t text any message to property from booking.com. Can’t call also because local sim didn’t work. But when we arrived they gave us double bed. And said twin not available and can’t split double bed also. And couldn’t even bring 2 separate duvets. Only gave additional duvet cover. I think property needs to have double room mattresses which can be splitted in twin beds, if they are offering to book room as twin. Also when we go somewhere out for a walk from hotel they always ask where we are going, which was quite annoying.
It’s clean and very beautiful, design is amazing, view is peaceful. It’s right in the center of Ubud, but doesn’t feel like that. Nice coffee and coffee machine in the room. Has bathrobes and small safe, minibar. Shampoo and conditioner smells great. Staff is smiling and very friendly, ready to help with everything. And by the way I loved pool, it is not big but looks very deep, unfortunately I didn’t have time to swim there.

FranceBreakfast options very limited. While the towels were clean there were stains on them. Shower drainage wasn’t working properly. They could do with a vanity/table of some sort in the bathroom to put your toiletries and stuff on.
The location being very central while being quiet. Spacious bedroom and bathroom.

CanadaNothing. Everything was exceptional.
The location of the hotel is very central, but it still provided a quiet, peaceful retreat. If you are planning on doing the Campuhan Ridge Walk, the hotel is quite close to the starting point. The staff was also very accommodating and helpful. In addition, the free breakfast was absolutely amazing. Although there was not a lot of selection, what they did offer was delicous and beautifully presented.

SlovakiaBreakfast was really tasty, but it was very small selection. Only 3 options, which wasn't very good for us as we stayed for 5 nights, so we had to have the same breakfast a few times.
We really liked our stay in this hotel. The facility is really stylish and really the style you expect in such destination. Modern and stylish. I specially appreciate always fresh clean towels that smelled really nice. With my sister we really appreciated small towels for a face, what was not in every accommodation we have been to. The location was perfect for those who prefer to stay in very center. From the terrasse where we had our breakfast you can see to Ubud Water Palace, Art Market and the road which you are entering the hotel is also a direct road to a rice fields. Swimming pool area was also a really nice and peaceful, so it is also really pleasant place to rest a bit. Breakfast was really tasty and what we appreciated the most was always a fresh fruit on the table, so we tried fruits we have never tried before.

United KingdomElectrics needed a look at, the light above the mirror had no earth so when going to adjust it we got electrocuted! And the lamp had live wires on show. Other than that no dislikes.
Location was good - right in the centre, but if you need to get an early night, just need to consider there is music at both temples either side of the hotel which is quite loud, but it’s only on for a couple of hrs in the evening. Very clean, staff very welcoming and friendly. Towels changed daily. Nice outdoor area to relax. Breakfast good and flexible with time you have it if you have an early start. Easy to get grabs from
