Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyDue to its location it was noisy at the night. The furnitures were a bit old but not uncomfortable. The only problem was the shower was not fully covered so bathroom gets a bit messy. Also, the base of the shower was old and chipping.
The location was amazing, walking distance to the beaches and also to old town. The room was very clean and the view was spectacular. The air conditioning was working really good. The hotel staff was really welcoming.

United KingdomA little noisy late at night when nearby club started playing music at midnight, but it didn't disturb us much.
Clean bright rooms, with plenty of space, right next to the harbour. Hosts were very helpful when we arrived well beyond the usual check-in time due to delayed flights.

United KingdomWe arrived at the time we had specified, but we were lucky - if there had not been another couple having problems with their room, and who kindly let us in, we would have been prevented from access. The room had a lovely balcony, but it overlooked a deserted path strewn with litter between the hotel and the next block's kitchens - higher floors, or sea view rooms would be better in this regard. The shower fan had an unearthed wire dangling from it, which I experienced when I thought it was the pull cord!! Conversely there are hardly any power sockets. The welcome pack in the room is just 2 small bottles of water - no coffee, tea, salt, ... The shower tray is a bit small - there's a shower curtain, but as a result it often grabs you when you move.
The aparthotel is clean, the rooms are spacious (ours had 2 large sofas) the air con worked well, and as others have said, it's a great location for places to eat, the harbour, and the sights of Kos town, and a good base from which to come and go.. The lady on reception in the morning is very helpful. They cleaned our room even though we were only there 2 nights, which was unexpected. They had a map of the city free for guests. It was fine for our needs.

LuxembourgThere is noise from the nearby bars until 4am. While this is not the responsibility of the hotel (maybe a better window insulation?) it might be disturbing for families with kids or for people with sound sensitivity or difficulty sleep.
The hotel is centrally located at the old port not too far from the old town. The room was comfortable for 3 persons and clean. There is no parking but we managed to find fairly easy in the surrounding streets (~150m away).

SwedenWe had told an approximate time when we should arrive (7pm) but was 30-40 minutes late. Nobody was there. We tried their ordinary phone number but nobody answered. There was luckily an emergency number and a man answered who arrived and gave us a key 5-10 minutes later. WiFi was not good. It took time to upload some photos (1920x1080) to Facebook. It was impossible to upload videoclips to Facebook.
God location just half a block from the tour boats in the marina. A lot of space in the apartment and okay air-condition. It felt very safe.

NorwayFriendly staff. They were very nice and helpful. Apartment is in the hearth of kos and short walking distance to the ports. I had apartment with seaview which I loved it. There were many restaurants and cafe just below the apart hotel which I liked it. The aparment was bigger than expectation which I felt very comfortable and as home. It was clean. It has kitchen and refrigerator which is also good to have this option available if someone wants to cook. Short distance to everywhere in town you would like to go. I would like to thank for hospitality of Jasmine hotel.

SloveniaSomewhat old with a bit of an odour, despite it being cleaned every day. The worst thing was the fact it's unbelieveably noisy, being central and in the vicinty of night bars. You won't get a wink of sleep till 3 am. I probably should have seen that coming, but it would have been good to be warned by the host that downtown Kos is super noisy at night
Very central with amazing views of the old port. Very spacious, basically a flat

HungaryThe kitchen area might have had a bit more kitchen utensils, pans. The shower cabin has glass panel only on one side, which was weird for us, but maybe that's typical for the country, we do not know. The biggest setback is that there are some waste collector bins quite close to the hotel, and the staff from the surrounding restaurants do tend to throw in empty bottles even in the middle of the night. It can get loud. Also, some nights these waste bins are being lifted up and carried away by the local waste management company - sometimes at 2-3am - which can also be annoying is you are a superficial sleeper. Truth is, it bothered us on the first night only, the following nights we probably got used to it - or were too exhausted by the hot weather to care :)
The hotel oversees the bay area, so your balcony probably will have a view of tourist ships, yachts and gorgeous blue see. Lambi beach is 8-10 minutes walk distance. Around the hotel you can find lots of restaurants and bars to hang out in, not necessarily expensive. The street the hotel is located on has no heavy traffic, if you get a room that looks to the Tsaldari street. If your room looks directly towards the bay and the Kountouriotou street, the traffic noise might get louder, but we have no recollection of that. Reception staff is really nice, cleaning staff also does a proper job. The hotel has a general clean, crisp feeling, with a large lobby and a clean elevator.

United KingdomNo complaints at all.
We had one night’s stopover in Kos Town on our way to Rhodes. This hotel, though basic, had everything we needed and was extremely good value for money: the bed was comfortable, the air con worked, the fridge was cold, and the location was right by the harbour.

Czech RepublicSome tourist can be a bit loud in the centre and there can be a little noisy time in the street even in June. In hotel room doors closes loudly as well.Surrounding of the hotel is bit dirty. We had a cockroach in the room, but no wonder the garbage is everywhere Especially in the ruins but that is the problem in Kos generally. Plastics, everywhere, new bags for eveysingle piece of croissant..etc. I was missing the K&R place to drop off luggage or kids from the car safely.
Personal was very nice and helpful. Lady at reception smiles all day long and is very helpful. Also the cleaning lady. Lobby and hallways smells very nice every day. Hotel is located very close to the port and all the main event in the town. There is no parking lot but you can park in neighbouring street. Bakery, coffee, restaurants are very close. Next to the hotel there is pitoresque old building directly in the ruins of North Baths Complex, which I really like. In kitchen there everything you need.(no salt, tea, etc) but to you can get everything in the market close by. View from the balcony was ok.
