The room size is really small, the view from the window to the back-yard wan't that trilling :) The breakfast was 15 pounds whereas the same breakfast downstairs in a pub/cafe next door was just 4 pounds.

Location was perfect, the staff was very friendly, the gym was nice. The lights in the room are exceptional, in addition to modern and bright design.

No kettle etc in room. Fully understand it wasn't in the listed amenities but waking up in the morning I realised how much of a handy thing it is; and given the cost of some kettles and tea bags it would be worth including. Some outside noise but inevitable for a centrally located hotel

Well located, clean and convenient hotel. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast decent and at a fair price.

In the morning, I asked, can I keep the luggage in the locker room and the reception staff said, we can. Then I left outside and I asked my wife and son to hand over the luggage in the reception so that they can just go out and collect it later when they come back. They are new in town and when they reached out to provide the luggage, the reception staff said, no, it is not possible, you cannot keep it. You can keep it in the railway station locker room. And they were two and had to take four bags to the railway station to keep it in the locker room. It was very sad that the reception staff member was unable to help us in this process. There was bags kept there, she could have also allowed four of our bags to be kept there and these two people or the guests were not fully fluent in English and had a struggling time to convey the message. We had to pay 50 pounds for keeping the bags in the locker room. So whatever we saved is lost and it was first time for us in Glasgow and that made our entire experience really bad.

I liked the room and also the space, I really liked it, and also closer to railway station was another attraction.

The rooms were a bit small. For one person it's OK, but even with your partner it'll be too small.

The automated power was a bit of a pest. If you sit still for too long the lights go out. And in the middle of the night, the TV home screen would come on and wake me up. I had to unplug it.

YOTEL is almost brand new and very clean. Everything worked, and it wasn’t too cramped. The electric bed was interesting. I only discovered the fridge in the room on the morning I was leaving. I actually quite liked the funky restaurant/bar. It looked like a nightclub but as a 64-year-old I felt perfectly comfortable eating there, though I got out early before the party crowd arrived.

Our room was very small, which is ok if you spend most of the day outside and go back only for sleeping (as we did), but there wasn't much place to store our things properly. The toilet and shower had a door, but there was no door for the bathroom, which was a bit weird and not the best if you want some privacy. Also, the only lights in the room were the small ones next to the bed, or the lights of the bathroom, so it was a bit dark (considering that the window overlooks the street, so you have to lower the blinds if you want some privacy). Also, the only switch for the bathroom lights was next to the door of the room (opposite to the bathroom), not very practical. The lights are controlled by motion sensors, so the lights will automatically turn off after a while if you don't move around (for example if you want to read in bed). A short side note, not directly related to the hotel, but I feel it is important to mention it: we have seen many reviews recommending the hotel because of its location close to city centre and the train station. This is true, but the area around central station is known not to be super safe at night. We never went back very late and we did not have any problem, but if I had to walk in this part of the city alone at night, I would not feel safe at all (especially as a woman).

The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The hotel is located next to the central station and city centre. Very good breakfast. Overall, quite good value for money, I would recommend the hotel for a short stay in the city.
