Breakfast priced in proportionally. My partner had less on plate but we were still charged the same. The phone set wasn't that clean and needed a wipe over. Biggest gripe was I ran a finger over a hanging picture in the room and a lot of dust came down. With the programme "four in a bed" running for decades on TV , this sort of attention detail shouldn't be overseen. Overall would happily stop here again.

Staff were nice. Position excellent to centre. Evening meal brilliant, white wine chilled in ice buckets, a very good touch.Beds comfortable.

Cleanliness was an issue. There was a mouldy mess of a dumped waste bin on our balcony, which was partially cleaned up when we notified reception. The carpets were really dusty.

Excellent location, the dinner was superb, great atmosphere and we got a free room upgrade, which was amazing. Nice linen and towels and aircon.

We have no criticisms of the hotel

We stayed in a family room on the first floor overlooking the prom and the sea. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was lovely, especially the Sussex sausages!

The hotel could do with a lick of paint and some new fixtures and fittings in places. The shower enclose in my room was pretty ancient. The carpet in the lift was pretty yuk.

Every member of staff I met was helpful and efficient. A problem I had with the tv was resolved immediately. I ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Lovely comfy bed.

Parking was so tricky this time but to be fair, it was a bank holiday. It wasn't the most clean room, bathroom wasn't particularly clean and the kitchenette was a bit dirty (items not properly washed up) other than that, all good

Location, staff friendliness, sea views, cheap parking and kitchenette in room was ideal.

No curtain in bathroom. Outside appearance looked a bit rundown and off putting in places. Breakfast croissants were tough and dense.

Great hotel on the beach front, the room was spacious with view at the sea. The swimming pool was a great plus for the kids. Good walking distance from the pier and the city centre. Helpful and friendly staff. There's room for improvement as far as the breakfast is concerned. Overall a great value for money and a positive experience.

The hotel was not busy at all... The breakfast service is good, but the food quality is very poor, so I would not eat there again. I asked the receptionist, who told me that a late checkout was no problem as we were running in the morning. However, when I double-checked with another receptionist in the morning, she told me I had to pay an extra £20 per hour from noon. I won’t book the hotel again for running next time.

I booked the sea view room, and the facility is old-fashioned
