The Curtains in the wooden hut I stayed could do with changing.

All of it . . Convenient location for touring the western side of the Lake District. Staff were very welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.

The price was a little "toppy" for the standard of accommodation, but then I was booking last minute. The room was a little too warm at night and the lighting in the room not the greatest. The wifi was not great at all, but I guess we were a little remote, so what can you expect. We departed early and was unable to drop our keys anywhere, other than leave in the room.

The YHA was reasonable well placed for my needs, particularly as I was booking last minute. The staff were very nice when booking us in and provided all the information we needed for our stay.

Door didn't close very well in pod. Slightly messier on weekend due to arrival of more guests.

Well kempt cooking facilities. Good shower pressure. Lovely pod, warm, clean and insulated

We had problems getting there and there was a possibility of us arriving after 10 pm, which would mean we wouldn’t be able to get to our room. That was a bit scary perspective

Very comfortable, convenient, beautiful scenery. Would recommend.

    If we could’ve stayed longer!

We stayed at this hostel as we decided last minute to climb Scaffell Pike. We stayed in a premium tent and it was brilliant value for money, the fire was great fun, woke up a bit chilly in the night so warm pajamas would be best!

First time in a Youth Hostel and I was so impressed. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The setting was stunning and the Bell Tent was amazing. So cosy, and so clean. Beds and bedding really comfortable. Good evening meal and Breakfast. Highly recommend and would love to go back.

The bedroom is very basic and bedside tables would be useful. Cleanliness was ok but expect hostel standards.

A play area would make a big difference even just a small slide and swing, maybe there is one but we didn’t see it, and the WiFi is not great which didn’t bother me but my teenager was not happy, the children’s food portions are quite small, apart from that it was a great weekend.

The grounds are stunning, the self catering kitchen is the best I’ve ever been to and we travel a lot with 3 children, we stayed in a bell tent and we especially loved the fire pit to toast marshmallows. We arrived at 5.30pm and checked in no problem then we had tea in the restaurant and the food is delicious.

I felt the breakfast was pricy compared to what you got but topped up with continental so wasn't terrible. Men's toilet was out of order, thankfully there were a few more around.

Great value for money and pod was perfect.
