It’s in a quiet area and despite being not far from the main road, I could hear birds singing in the evening and early morning from my room. Lovely people working here, they run the place which is linked to a charity. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is dry room for your clothes and mountain gear for those wet days.

The only issue I had was that the fan in the toilet on the main light stays on for quite a while after the light is turned off. That's all. I know it would be going to get all the moisture out which is a big thing for a place like Betws y Coed.

I was in the two bed room, it had an en suite and everything I needed. I loved it, had all I needed. I absolutely adored the drying room, I can't imagine what I would've done without it and every place in Betws y Coed should have one!! I used it every day and it was essential. I feel I should mention the kitchen too is really good, has everything you'd need. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I got a good look at the place. The location is excellent. You are close to centered in the village but the village has everything I needed all around me. You can even start an excellent hike from the end of the small road the place is on.

The staff are the nicest people, made me feel home and gave nice recommendations for hikes. The place is tidy and I found all what I needed in the kitchen. The location is great with a mesmerizing view from each window Perfect for backpackers 5 mins walk from the station. Def will be coming back

It had a great location and the staff were very friendly. We arrived a little late and Michele was amazing and accommodating, she was so friendly and welcoming and a great start to the day.

Warden was helpful and friendly and the facilities are great. Huge kitchen, so even in our large group we could make breakfast for everyone. Great location, a very short walk into town or to a nearby trail, and we got an inexpensive bus to Pen y Pass to start our trek up Yr Wyddfa.

Hard mattress in the dorm. Two nights in the single room was a little cramped but I slept really well. I decided to stay on and transferred to a female dorm but didn’t sleep. Just a personal preference for a softer mattress.

Michele, was a kind a caring host. I enjoyed the hostel style which matched the village area I chose to stay in of Betwse-y-coed. Plus the bus and train were an easy walk and allowed me to tour all over Snowdonia using public transport. Great base and lots of lovely cafes and restaurants a short stroll away. As I’m a chef the S/S kitchen was a big plus for me. Really well equipped. And, Plenty of bedding and lovely and warm. Good WiFi

We were fine with everything.

Friendly staff, interesting guests mainly hikers and cavers. Access to a kitchen is useful when one of your party has a food intolerance and this was well equipped.

Impressive house and gardens with good facilities including a kitchen and drying room and friendly wardens. Short walk to the shops and restaurants of Betws-y-Coed and there are good local walking options along the river and into the woods.

Heating had to be adjusted by the warden manually, but that didn't bother me because I don't like it too warm anyway so I didn't "complain" about it. If I would they would have fixed it immediately.

Wonderful suroundings and a beautiful building. I liked the vibe of a country hostel with the facilities such as shower- and drying-room. It was very quiet and peaceful during winter and close to hiking trails as well as the train station.

I haven't stayed in a hostel for many years, and I was worried that I might regret my choice, but this hostel is excellent! It is clean and has everything you need. I was there in February and there weren't many guests. There are loads of places to eat around, including a bakery and a pizza restaurant. The town itself is stunning. I am planning to return.

No lockable storage space in the dorm.

Despite the building being a little run down, the location is amazing, the shared communal room is very cosy, the staff were super friendly, and the kitchen is almost a commercial-style kitchen with everything you could need.

The Woodlands Centre is a warm and welcoming property. We were hosted by the wonderful Michelle. The location is superb, the single room comfortable and warm. I would highly recommend a stay if you are looking to hike, walk or engage in outdoor sports.

Quite a steep hill up to the entrance so something to keep in mind for those with mobility issues. Otherwise everything was amazing!

Very well placed, well set up with all necessities. Very comfortable as well. Staff were so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and will absolutely be back again!

Every single detail was taken care from the beginning. Micheal Greeted us and showed us everything we needed to know . The facilities for mountain biking, hiking,walking are amazing. Enough showers for a big group.Kitchen was fully equipped and clean. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Fully equipped drying room perfect for our needs
