    Nothing.

Very good, nice sized and comfortable room in a characterful building in a great location used for a nights stay while tackling the first two stages of the West Highland Way. Looked after by very helpful and friendly staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was good and very reasonable value for money.

Be aware that you are not underneath the dog rooms , this really disrupted our first night with dogs moving about and being taken downstairs early morning to let them out.

Staff responded very well to an issue we had, went above and beyond to help us move rooms after first night. Beds were comfortable, good food at Ptarmigan Bar. Clean and spacious and quiet room at back of hotel.

Although the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful , the waiting staff were brusque. At breakfast the attitude of the waitress was rude, no good morning or greeting at all, when we asked for butter to go with the toast a half used portion from another table was shoved on the table. When I requested some toast to go with the poached eggs I had ordered she served it with a sarcastic comment. On our second morning we went to the local cafe for breakfast! There were a couple of coach parties there and overall we felt we were in the way.

    It was comfortable and clean

Room a little on the small side but big comfortable bed and plenty storage space.. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. Had evening meal in the bar, which was nice and reasonably priced and had breakfast which was cooked to order.

No lift, multiple stairs both up and down to reach our room. Room faced inner courtyard so sound from tour group social room as well as a barking dog could be heard well into the evening.

Ate in the restaurant two nights, both meals were excellent, with menu changing nightly. Location was central for touring and walking Loch Lomond area. Staff was friendly and helpful with advice and reservations.

Had dinner at the bar, waitress was not very professional, sticky and dirty table, ignored me quite a while till I received the menu. Short answers to my questions, not very polite, while she was chatting quite a while and very friendly with the family at the table next to me. She vanished after a while. Food was then served by the bartender who was very nice.

Good location to sleep during West Highland Way. Clean and nice room, pleasant welcome at the reception and fast check-in.

First room I was assigned was excessively hot. A wee bit tired and needed a make-over. For example, windows didn't open. However, the mgr got involved and resolved it to my satisfaction. I appreciated that.

I did not eat there so I can't comment on food. Room was fine/good

We had a different dog friendly room this time. It was quite small and not much room to accommodate the dog crate. Bathroom very small but ok for one night.

This was our second stay at this hotel to break up our journey home. It’s good value for money and the location is great.

Good value for money for a one night stay: clean room, comfortable bed, friendly front office staff, parking available and easy and quick check-in/check-out. It is very close to Stirling castle, making it a great stop if you're heading to Edinburgh after a long drive.

Very friendly and helpful and efficient staff. Special mention to 'Cat', a favourite of our dog Kevin and gave very knowledgeable and useful whisky tasting advice at the bar, brilliant! As our dog was in a stroller, the staff were very accommodating and made eating in the bar / lounge area very easy for all our meals. We would definitely stay at The Winnock Hotel again when we travel through Scotland. Thank you.
