Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing all was excellent.
Very easy, Chloe met us at the property handed over the keys and gave us a very comprehessive tour of the accomodation and all of the ammenieties, she was very friendly and when she left she messaged us with additional information that was in the pack but not clear about the outside seating area.

The hosts were so lovely. The cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed. There was a welcome basket of tea, coffee, milk, wine and fresh eggs from the chickens. There were sheep, goats, chickens and the most beautiful Collie (Oscar)....the views were amazing and we would recommend this Cottage 10/10...Cx

United KingdomThis was perfect!! The cleanest and tidiest of farms I have ever seen!! It's about an 8 minute drive down to Hebden Bridge from the cottage. You can walk up and down from the Robin Hood Inn to the cottage. But having been poured, not measured, spirits from the Landlord we ended up in a taxi rather than up the track and along the fields back, haha. The cottage is furnished and decorated to a very, very high standard and everything you can think of, it has. The living room is so cosy to snugly up in on a night. The kitchen although small has everything you need including a very nice welcome basket with lots of goodies and freshly laid eggs from the hens ready for breakfast in the morning. The bathroom has a large deep bath, gorgeous, and also a walk in shower. The bedroom.... we did not want to get out of that big bed. It was so comfy and best we've slept in ages! The outside areas are lovely to sit and just chill and look at miles and miles of lush green countryside. So peaceful. Lovely to have breakfast outside on either the lower or upper seating areas. Sun rise and sunsets are beautiful. The hosts are the best!! Alison and Pete, such genuinely lovely lovely people. They even gave us a lift into town twice and a guided drive around. If you fancy breakfast out, Craggies is the place to go for a Farm Shop brekkie. Hebden Bridge itself is a beautiful place. Lots of different styles of shops, independent, quirky, lots of designs, art, crafts. Lots of different walks and things to explore, on a walk up a long steep cobbled path in amongst the houses in the middle of a hillside, we even discovered a little graveyard! Plenty to do in and around. Hardcastle Crag and Gibson Mill has walks to do. The canal walks here are great. You can walk 23 miles to Machester I believe.... we walked 4 miles to Todmirden instead! Another lovely little place to visit. I would definitely stay at the Cottage again!

Self catering luxury accomodation in rural West Yorkshire. Kitchen very well equipped. Farm eggs plus a well stocked very welcome basket of goodies. A big, shower, bath and comfy bed! Very warm inside although weather outside was wet and chilly, like the rest of the country this Spring!

What an amazing gem this cottage is, location very very rural with fantastic views, the hosts Alison, Peter & Chloe go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much for them. On arrival Peter welcomed us, showed us around the cottage and how everything worked, they provided a lovely welcome pack which is so thoughtful, with a little something for my mums birthday, the cottage itself is done out to a high spec, cosy and warm, with the best bathroom, both nights we were there, we sat out on the decking just taking in the views with the goats and chickens keeping us company, even got to meet a new born lamb which was just the icing on the cake for my mum.

United KingdomLittle bit further from Hebden Bridge than I realised but that was my own research mistake.
Beautifully appointed accommodation better than some 5* hotel rooms we’ve been in ! Very cosy and everything we could have needed . Special touches such as a huge welcome basket and showing us the farm animals made us feel welcome .

United KingdomIf I had to be picky, it would be that it was very windy and so there were some noises from the extractors in the night and it is relatively remotely located so getting down to Hebden Bridge wasn't the easiest in the car.
We loved how much thought had gone into making it all a perfect place to unwind - all the little details. There was even a hamper and some mince pies provided on arrival. The bath was wonderful, and the bathroom in general was lovely. The TV on the bed was a fun touch! We had some amazing views of the sunset while we were there, the valley the cottage looks out to is dramatic and beautiful. In the summer I bet it's fun sitting out with the goats with that view.

United KingdomNothing! We had a lovely time, just wish the weather had been a bit better to have a good wander around the area.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming, the place itself was beautiful, really cosy, well designed, with everything that you’d ever need for a short stay, and much more. It was nice to be around so many animals as well, we particularly liked the goats’ noisy welcome when we got there, it made us chuckle. Thanks for such a lovely stay :)

United KingdomWhat an amazing little cottage, there was nothing to fault about it. We only stayed two nights but would have loved to stay longer. We can't thank the hosts, Alison, Pete & Chloe, who, due to snow, went above and beyond to make sure we were able to attend a birthday party. The sherry and mince pies on arrival, as well as a welcome basket of wine, crisps and chocolate, etc. were an extra special touch. Can't recommend staying here enough.

Everything! It’s a beautiful cottage which has been lovingly presented and decorated with lovely personal touches that are in keeping with the area but also modern. The fire was lovely to sit next to on an evening and I made use of the bath while I had a glass of Prosecco that the hosts kindly left me along with a hamper of other goodies. I also mentioned it was my birthday and the hosts (I only met Alison who was very lovely) so kindly left me a card and a pretty plant. The setting is really gorgeous and has a remote and rural feel whilst still being close to a few towns for amenities and entertainment. I didn’t make use of the garden seating area as it was winter but I’d recommend it in the warmer months as the views were stunning.

United Kingdomcouple of nasty pot holes on the approach, which we were warned about, but with the weather conditions you just had to be extra vigilant to ensure you missed them (it is a narrow approach road), this is being picky, as we liked everything else!
Hosts were very accommodating over our arrival time (as we had car trouble and couldn't give an accurate window of when we would arrive). A number of options were given in relation to finding the property, other than just sat nav (which gives a general area) but with the google maps option we found the property first time. Property was as advertised, very cosy and very comfortable. kitchen had all you could ask for, and bathroom was excellent. We loved the cockerel crowing in the morning, something very comforting about it. The home made cakes in the welcome hamper were superb, top marks for them

We loved every minute of our stay - our only criticism would be that it went too quickly! We mentioned when we booked that we were traveling up for our wedding anniversary and Alison gifted us some lovely prosecco and left us a card. It was above and beyond what we could have expected. The family are so sweet and caring. Everything was incredibly comfortable: the bed, the little sitting room, the amazing shower. The views and walks around the farm are stunning. We hiked down to Hebden Bridge on one of the days and would highly recommend it. Can completely see why people keep coming back!

The location is absolutely gorgeous. The hosts are so friendly and approachable and added some really personal touches. It really made you feel welcome. The farm is so lovely and we loved seeing all the animals about (cats, horses, goats, dog etc!). This cottage is really tastefully decorated with lovely amenities. It is a short hop to Hebden Bridge and there are some lovely walks in the surrounding area. We also visited Shibden Hall in Halifax. I have already recommended the property and it is the best place I have booked via this website. Thank you so much! :) Louisa and Jade.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like really, but just for people to be aware that the smoke alarm in the kitchen is very sensitive, and goes off when you use the toaster, so don't be startled, and just press reset.
Extremely well appointed and comfortable cottage. Everything has been thought of and provided. Even the parking area has solar lighting. A lovely welcome basket of high quality essentials (and treats). The hosts are very friendly and approachable, and we were met upon our arrival, with the keys, and quick tour/explanation of the facilities. We were even left freshly laid eggs on the doorstep, which we enjoyed for breakfast.
