Breakfast could have been better.kept running out of breakfast items and staff couldn't understand English very well . coffee machine stopped working for a while.restaurant menu could do with improving

Nice setting with deer and wildlife around the house . walking distance to a couple of local pubs .rooms good size and quite modern and clean . staff friendly and cleaners checked in to see if needed new towels

I was surprised that there was no bedside table, though there was room for one. I was disappointed that neither green tea nor redbush tea were available the 1st day, though they did find green on the 2nd day. The insulation between the floors was very poor. I was woken by the guest above me turning on the radio before dawn.

the room was fine, if not exceptional. Breakfast was good and the bathroom was also good.

Our room didn’t have any opening windows and it was quite hot.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful , lots of deer, ducks and other wildlife around, amazing value for money and the Indian restaurant they have in the main building is exceptional !

The staff didn’t tell us there was a party in the bar even though we asked about the bar food! So we ended up gatecrashing a surprise party whilst eating our meal!

The property was great, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely too and the winter price made it good value for money.

Breakfast was self serve and not hot. The room was excellent value but that brings those with a bit less etiquette than you would expect of such an establishment.

No spa facilities 🫤 but it isn’t advertised with them. Just feel it could enhance this hotel to have a spa.

Only negative was there were many staff around in the bar area which meant we were waiting a long time to be served!

Some odd nose like a generator or something through the night and doors slammed, didn't sleep the best but the room was comfortable, drinks were very pricy

We were allocated the wrong room. We booked a twin and were given a double in the annex. Reception staff sorted it quickly and upgraded us to the main house but other than it being in the main house, I wouldn’t call the room an upgrade. It was very much the same except the bed had two single duvets on it. There were also no towels in the room but again reception sorted it quickly for us.

The main house was a stunning building and the location ideal. Breakfast was also lovely. No complaints at all about the breakfast.

It was very hot, understandably with old buildings they are freezing when cold and boiling when hot but given it was only April and roasting it was strange. Make sure you open the windows and it’ll help. The breakfast food was really tasty but somewhat chaotic.

The property was exceptionally clean and all the staff were friendly and smiley. The food was really good both at breakfast and the function we attended. The Mansion canal view bedrooms were quirky and the beds very comfy. The property has lots of potential to be excellent, grounds are beautiful.
