Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere was dust on bits around the room, also wall paint on the skirting boards. Room service sent up the wrong wine which took 40 mins to change so ended up sending back. W lounge fully booked every night, no designated time/space for W guests. I was informed the deposit they took was £100, it was actually £100 per night. Room service was expensive - a can of cola was £6!
The property was of lovely decor, most staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, greeting us as we approached the exterior of the property. The food was tasty! The rooms were lovely and had everything you could ever need in them.

QatarI didn't like the price of booking the spa. The spa is absolutely gorgeous. Private bookings are essential. I thought since we were already paying high prices for the hotel and restaurant, the spa was a bit pricey for 60 minutes. I thought the spa could add a plunge pool or something similar. That is the only thing missing with the beautiful spa. You have everything else, just not an area to do cold therapy.
I loved how they made you feel welcomed and important the moment you walk through the doors for check-in. Loved the decor. it's very open and modern with a twist. The refreshment offer on arrival is lovely. The rooms are beautiful, exceptionally clean, and spacious. The bed is absolutely life. It's like a cloud. The complementary cocktails in our room and truffles were delightful. SAMBASUSHI is my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. The ambience, the food, and staff are top of their game. Cocktails were lovely. Everything was amazing. You can't fault the W. It's very hard to say bad things about The W. I love staying with them! I have already booked my next stay!
