How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A perfect place to spend your stay in Belfast. Beautiful and quite neighborhood, very clean with all the items you need to make your stay perfect. The only less good point is the location, about 30min walking to the city Centre. But it is a nice walk though. Definitely, 100% recommended.

Julie-Ann is a very friendly and helpful host, easy and quick to communicate with. The house was very clean, comfortable and decorated with an attention to detail. It is in a residential area, a small supermarket close by.

Both couches were broken and were sinking. We didn't spend too much time staying at home, so it was not a big issue. However, after a long day walking, you would like a place to sit in comfortably.
Everything was great. Close to the Titanic Museum. House was clean, and on-street parking was available. The place was clean and neat.

Nothing much if I could fault anything bed's we're a bit hard
Lovely house nice and clean everything we needed as a base for our family holiday city centre was in walking distance 20 mins very easy communication with host

House was spotless. Everything you needed for your stay was there. Couldn't be happier with our stay. The host was very helpful and nice. People around the house were friendly. Corner shop and food places within walking distance.

You could hear the neighbours children through the walls but this wasn't such a huge issue. It was fine at night.
It was a lovely little place. Local shop nearby for basics.

Larger than expect and spotless. Very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. About 30 mins walk from the center of the city and 20 mins from the SSE and complex.

Very comfortable and cozy house. There are all the amenities of a washing machine, dishwasher, iron, hair dryer, smart TV, Wi-Fi and other appliances. All rooms are clean, comfortable and warm. We liked everything!

plenty of space for me, my husband and adult daughter, always free parking by the front door, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, excellent communication, John’s taxi tour recommended by our host was enjoyable, educational and affordable

Um...I can't think of anything we didn't like.
The location was fab, house was a great size and had all we needed. Julie Ann recommended her friend Tom for taxing or for a tour. He took us out one evening, at a really reasonable rate and gave us a tour of the Murals, along with a lot of information, took us to see where Van Morrison lived, went to school and "The Hollow". We could not have enjoyed it more. This home, and a tour with Tom are not to be missed when you are in Belfast!

Better information how to get to the property. Post code takes you to the wrong part of the estate so was riding round for a while. To find out it wasn't safe on that part of the estate we was riding round. But you left the information for us to tell the taxi what part of the estate we was on. That's how we found out the other part of the estate wasn't safe.
It's close to the centre. Close to the places we wanted visit. And the venue we was attending was in walking distance
