There were like feathers all over the bed when we arrived they were all over the bed covers and pillows . There was no hair dryer in our room / never got shown where all the stuff was tea coffe and sugar and that / the nice lady cleaner for the hotel rooms showed us where they were all the spare toilet rolls and coffees and teas ,

The bath leaked we were told we'd have to move rooms so packed up rushed around then had men in and out the room trying to fix it and were then told no we'd be staying and wasted around an hour of our evening.

The room was very spacious the bed was big and comfy,there was a massive smart TV which was unexpected and a lovely perk plus the location is perfect a short walk from the centre and Abbey to easily explore.

I didn't like the noise which was right below us and the fact there are no breakfast options. There was also no hairdryer in the bedroom which you usually find in other places.

The bed was soo comfortable and the room.was lovely. Really bizarre how the bath was in the bedroom. Neither my daughter or myself.could.use it. The food in the restaurant was lovely.

Lovely room with thoughtful touches and extras. Tbh when I arrived I expected the accommodation to be noisy because it's located above the pub. BUT it's very well soundproofed and insulated so there was no noise at all - I slept like a log!

The base I believe (not the mattress) was making quite a noise with any movement in our room which was room 4 it would be great to have this seen to as it kept me awake - apart from this everything was fine

I enjoyed my stay, friendly staff, very cosy and clean. Lovely Indian food also offered at the pub! I will happily recommend this place to future guests

Very minor issue that the bed was quite soft and we prefer a harder mattress. Not sure what the owners can do about that as its down to personal taste. We ate in the Indian restaurant attached to the venue. The food was nice but very slow (nearly 2 hours before we got our main course) as they seemed to have a lot of deliveries going out.

This is a quirky place, part pub, part hotel and part Indian restaurant. Rooms are great comfortable and warm. The Indian food available is without doubt some of the best I have tasted. I stopped ordering after the first evening and let the lads choose. Not one bad meal brilliant food. Staff behind the bar were lovely and friendly.

The room is too small. After putting luggages, there is no space to move around. Interior of kettle is dirty. Can see residue after filling up water.

Good value for money. Clean and the toilet has been renovated.

There were a few spiderwebs in the en suite and room (along curtain rails, in the shower) and the bathmat didn't look clean.

The bath in the room was fantastic - the separate en suite was very modern and the bed so comfortable (feather duvet!). Lovely view. Easy check in and check out.

There wasn't anything not to like. The service was great, the place was warm, clean and tidy. THe bed was huge, the shower hot and roomy....everything was spot on.

No breakfast option (not a problem for us as we knew in advance). Location ok (we were visiting York)
