I can't think of a negative really, I don't really watch tv so it wouldn't bother me but my wife said the tv was unwatchable at times due to buffering, poor signal due to location I'd imagine, but who goes to a place like this to watch tv?

A gorgeous little holiday let, you can tell the owners take great pride. Superbly finished internally, quality appliances, stunning views, peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Yet only a few minutes from all the usual tourist traps, perfect.

    Nothing

The picture view with wildlife, at times was like watching a David Attenborough program, location is good for whitby, not that you want to leave, and the coach house is done to a high standard we weren't disappointed with anything, so we have booked again.

Nothing, we immediately fell in love when we opened the door!!

The standard of this property is amazing, the large picture window is stunning! It is very home from home, pots, pans, cutlery, toaster, microwave all spotlessly clean. So cosy! Comfy double bed and lovely furnishings. I can highly recommend we can’t wait to go back.

Not really a dislike more of an observation. We both banged our heads a few times, as some of the areas are low ceilings, plenty of signs, and thats the quirkiness of the building... but I'm accident prone anyhow! Maybe a few extra shelves in the bathroom, and a black out curtains in the bedroom (although they are dark curtains) we are just use to pitch black when sleeping! Possibly a bit more lighting outside but nothing that would stop us going back 😁

Location 👌 and view superb. Finished to a very high standard. Wood burner is stunning 🔥 Free parking. Close to amenities. Good local pub - The Plough. Great butcher in the village-Sleights, that offers breakfast butties, more of a farm shop. Bothams of Whitby bakery also in the village, make a great sannie, and a deep filled homemade apple pie :)) Andy and Tina the hosts we're lovely down to earth family people, who make your stay welcoming. Lovely touches with the milk and biscuits on arrival, a real wow factor accommodation, and the three wild deer on arrival was amazing! We saw the beautiful barn owl, and some gorgeous birds too 🦉🐦 Very tranquil, great for couples, loved that we could get away from the hustle and bustle of Whitby but closeby enough (3 miles from Whitby town). We dined a the Fish cottage , Sandsend definitely recommend this place, the famous fish tascos a must try. We self catered on the first night, as the accomodation has all you need in the fully equip stylish kitchen. Steep hill to enter and exit the property, but if you want that view, it's all part and parcel. We walked on the first eve to the local pub. It was a 10min walk, up and down hill so no fancy shoes! we used the torch on our phones heading back in the dark, but it was all part of the fun. It is 2-3 drive however if you need groceries, the spa stays open until 10pm. They've just upgraded the WiFi connection, TV was great, lots of options with movie channels, and worked fine. Hubby had no problems with his phone on 3 network but my O2 network wasnt great, but I was glad to be able to unplug for the few days we were there. Thanks for having us, we really enjoyed ourselves, and will be back!

Nothing to fault. Maybe a little bench outside on the back for summer would be nice.

Stunning little cottage, amazing views from the lovely window. Great location within very easy reach of Whitby and Scarborough. Very well decorated throughout with lovely little touches, everything you could possibly need is provided, beds super comfy.

Could do with a draining board. And somewhere to put hot items out of the cooker. A foot rest for the sofa would be a nice touch. A mirror to help exit the property on to Blue Bank would help. Ideal for winter, but In summertime you may find yourself wanting to spend time on the other side of the window - and you’re unable to…(some access and decking there would be the cherry on top). Weak and intermittent WiFi.

Clean. Good wood burner. Peaceful location. Seeing the owls fly across the view.

The only thing I would warn people of is finding the property and the drive down to it! We missed it a few times and ended up taking a very narrow detour through littlebeck (wouldn’t recommend!!!) the entrance is very steep to the property so be mindful of this. Once we were there we were unsure of leaving to venture out on an evening, especially on foot - luckily we had everything we needed :) maybe a sign would be helpful?

Absolutely gorgeous property. Really clean and modern, loved the style of the place it was so cosy. The window was great - although we didn’t see much wildlife with it getting dark quite early we did watch the sunrise! Owner was really lovely we only said a brief hello :)

The only things I could say is that the access road is very difficult to see from the main road, and is incredibly steep (probably 30-40%) which could pose an issue for some vehicles. There can be quite a lot of background noise when people are arriving at and leaving the other properties, we heard a lot of car doors and shouting during our trip.

What an incredible property. Nothing quite prepares you for the view from that window - it is absolutely breathtaking. It's only a short drive to Whitby and Goathland, so is perfectly situated for a trip to the moors - though you could easily spend a few days at the property itself. The owners were so lovely, and even put a bottle of prosecco and a card out as we were visiting for a birthday, it seemed that nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful and the kitchen was well equipped. Ample kindling and logs were provided for the log burner which was a lovely touch. We would definitely visit again.

I had an usual issue with the bathroom door. There is no washing machine, and that would have been helpful on a longer stay. I am not vertically challenged, and the entry is via a hatch style door. Beware of head knocks. If you want to engage in local life, it is a drive

This is a stand-alone building on a rural property. Generally, this is a very well-appointed property with most things that one might need for a short stay. The layout works for a single or a couple. The property is no doubt a heritage structure and no doubt that presents some particular requirements, but from my perspective, it is an ideal quiet location. I met one owner over the phone and the other in person, and they are delightful and friendly. The picture window is stunning in terms of outlook. I would be very happy to here again.
