Cheap accomodation few steps from the River Tyne
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Family En-Suite Room
    • Stayed 1 night

Two weak points: bathroom and other guests. Bathroom door handle comes on and off. Seat on the loo falls apart. Toilet paper has no easy access if you're doing your number 2. A few rough looking people around rather annoying then harmful. Carpet could be replaced sooner or later

Close to Newcastle centre - about 20 minutes on foot. Room was comfortable enough. Fresh beddings, towel. Well equipped room. Staff was very polite, helpful. Small car park had lots of spaces. Despite the bad points i listed (see below) it was okay for a short stay and i'd probably use them again

It leaves plenty to be desired but for the price you really can’t complain. A single night whilst away for work was fine but I don’t think the wife would appreciate it for a getaway!

It was very cheap. The staff were pleasant. The bedding and towel were nice and clean. Unexpectedly a cooked breakfast was included in my rate. I just went for a coffee but was presented with a full English whether I wanted it or not!

Room was a little tired, double bed was very small, only a 4' (although there was a single bed too), definitely needs redecoration but obviously you'd have to pay more then.p

    Good value, breakfast was good.

No lift for our pram, small stains on the bed sheets. Bathroom didn't feel completely clean.

Close enough to Gateshead metro and Saltwell Park. Little to no noise at night.

    Not a 3 star hotel. Maybe a 2!

    See above.

This is supposed to be a 3 star hotel and the pictures certainly looked it. Definitely didn't match what the pictures portrayed but maybe I didn't meet the tier as I only paid £18 for a last minute room in which I arrived for 2300 and left by 1100. I think they need to review the atar rating system and have it updated to a 1 or 1.5 (maybe 2 at a push). Also, they need to add toilet roll to the large toilet upstairs near room 29 and maybe fix the cieling light in room 29. The brown wires could be seen. Other than that, for £18 it was acceptable.

You can hear some noise from outside (Traffic and ambulances) The bathroom and the main facilities need some maintenance ( i.e loose shower panel, difficult/tight to get the key on the lock, you need to fully turn over the tap on the bathroom to get hot water and you will spill the water all over, the facilities are old fashioned) Don't check the expiring date on the dairy products.

Affordable price. Good location. The bedroom was clean and comfy bed. Friendly chef at breakfast. Near a very nice church/coffee shop ( recommended to stop by)

The property is very dated and does need some TLC, however was fine for just needing a bed for the night. Served it’s purpose well.

Location was excellent for getting to Utilita arena, 20 minute walk. Beds were very comfortable so slept well.

No shower. Warm water just dribbled through the shower hose. One of the radiators did not work. Called the housekeeper, he came, said it might take a few 20 minutes … but we ended up sleeping in coldness.

Free parking. Close to Newcastle. We had the family room—spacious, nice

Although it says soundproof, You can hear everything, what happens all over the hotel, how couple chatting at the next room, although they were not loud. Woke up as they used sink in the morning and noise was awful, tried to get asleep again, but cleaners started hoovering, and it sounded, like it was on our room. Everything, apart from bed, sqweaks or makes other noises. Also from 2 showers on the floor, 1 was out of order, the other one has no even door and You can't set up normal water temperature, it's just cold or boiling hot

Bed was comfy and blackout curtains allowed to have some rest after travel
