Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe location is great, right by the town and transport links. The apartment was so beautiful and finished to a good quality standard. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. There is a shop right around the corner which is helpful as it is a small town in a very quiet location!

Beautifully restored and modern apartment. The location right near the centre of St Just village was perfect. Car parking in a large council owned public carpark 50m away was great. The biggest like was the attention to our every needs by Our hosts Lyn and Steve. The use of the clothes washer/dryer in apartment was a good send as we had been travelling a lot before reaching St Just.

United KingdomAs a new property there are a few teething issues, but nothing major. The owners invited feedback on areas to improve on so we provided five or six pointers, which are mostly easy to take on board. A bigger, more comfortable bed is perhaps the only suggestion that is harder to action easily.
Tredenwith House is a newly refurbished apartment, so is very spacious and clean. Directions for entry were very clear and easy. Location is central in St Just so shops and restaurants are a stone's throw away. Our hosts were very friendly and communicative. We slept very soundly as it was quiet and we could open a window to keep the room nice and cool.

United KingdomVery well equipped kitchen. Milk, tea and bowl of fruit on arrival. Spacious lounge and a great shower. Very friendly hosts live on site and were very willing to help out with any issue - forgotten phone charger, issue with the TV etc. Very convenient location for free parking and Co-op and other local shops a few metres down the road. Great circular walk from the accommodation to Cape Cornwall.

United KingdomThe weather, but it’s the UK.
The apartment was excellently presented and equipped. There was a full oven, four plate induction hob and even a washer dryer. Both a fridge and a separate freezer. St. Just itself had a Co-Op and a Premier store for shopping, four pubs for food and drink and a fish and chip shop. We would recommend a trip to Lavant and Geevor tin mines, although there are a lot of steps to negotiate. It’s about a twenty minute walk between the two and at Lavant they have a steam powered beam engine that can be seen working. Please note you need to book the visit to Lavant through the National Trust. We visited Lands End, you pay for parking, Mousehole and in Newlyn got some nice fresh mackerel and a couple of pasties. Unfortunately, our aim of visiting the St. Ives area was scuppered by gales and driving rain. It was February after all! We had great communication from the owners and actually met Liz who was happy to help if required. We can highly recommend this property and location.

United KingdomWell, the weather could have been better but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves!
The apartment was clean and modern and very well equipped. Location was excellent, a very short walk to the car park and the market square where the shops and pubs were. There is a well served bus stop by the car park which will take you into Penzance and back if you don't want to take the car. Our hosts, Lyn and Steve, were very friendly and attentive and it was a pleasure to stay here.

United KingdomZero complaints, but I don't think I can submit the review without writing something here. I was there getting ready for an ultra-endurance bicycle race so needed to bring the bike inside, and everything was so new and so white that I found myself incredibly anxious about marking freshly painted walls, carpets, etc. I think it's just that I was one of the first guests in a newly refurbished flat - the hosts seemed really practical about understanding that it's a holiday let and not a museum, but I still didn't want to be the first to mark a wall. It's also a really tight corner on the stair landing, so maybe not ideal for anyone bringing in bulky equipment unless they've got really good control and spatial awareness with their stuff!
This place absolutely blew me away! It is appointed to such a high standard that I really felt like I was staying somewhere several tiers more expensive. This is a real luxury apartment! Hosts Steve and Lyn are really friendly, helpful, and proactive about greeting guests and going above and beyond to ensure I was looked after. The standard of everything is just really really high and I wished I'd been able to stay there and enjoy it a bit more rather than just crashing for a couple nights on my way to something else.
