Lovely village location. With mini supermarket and a couple of pubs nearby. Room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was very good quality.

Loved everything!! Couldn’t fault one single thing.

Reception was friendly and informative. The hotel had a lift which was great and we loved our room that looked out to the hotel garden. Breakfast was a full English buffet. The dinner meal was next level and definitely recommend popping in for an evening meal. The hotel was central to all in Mickleton and all that the Cotswolds had on offer. Definitely recommend!!!

Small room, small bathroom, no where to put toilet bag. Fittings had seen better days. The price of the room was more than I expected for what was offered.

I loved the proper old hotel feel, not corporate uniformity. Staff were accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious.

The bed was extremely hard and so was the pillow. If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you as it’s an old building without soundproofing, expected but just the same, slamming doors were not appreciated in the early hours of the morning.

Some areas are needing a good clean and some need a repair and paint We had to swap rooms on the first day - tap fell off in the bathroom, and the day before we left the mother in law had to swap rooms as there was rain coming in through her ceiling

Compared to previous visits, the Pudding Club night, Friday 19th April, was a bit of a disappointment. The six real puddings were nothing special and the seventh, chocolate mousse, was a sweet not a pudding.

We booked to have Sunday roast and were told they were going to be busy - but we were the only people in the dining room!! It would have been much nicer to eat in the bar at the front of the hotel. The restaurant at the back is a bit soulless.

Perfect location - we were there to help our son and family move to a house just round the corner (from London).

We had a rattle in one of the windows which was easily solved by inserting some tissue paper. There is no lift at the front of the building but we were only on 1st floor so not an issue for us. Although our room was on the front, we didn't have any road noise.

Our first room was a little small but the staff were extremely helpful and, as the hotel wasn't fully booked, allowed us to swap rooms. Our new room was excellent with two bay windows and a large bed. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent! I had duck and my husband the steak and kidney pudding. Both were delicious but next time I would definitely have a pudding! Breakfast was self-service and perfectly adequate.

I am not sure really: I guess the only thing would have been that the car park was closer to the entrance has bringing my parents in on a wheelchair wasn't so easy. It's a very reasonable distance were it not for bringing two disabled parents with me. If the drop off parking space at the front was a permanent disabled one, it would have been easier - but I got my steps in with bringing all the bags, mobility scooter, wheel chair etc!!

We had a totally delicious meal in the evening and the morning breakfast staff were kind. The receptionist on the evening we arrived (female) was lovely and kind, especially helpful with access as both my parents are disabled and there was a lot of running about to be done. It was the eve of mother's day and despite having lost her mother, she and I were able to talk about how lucky we are to have the people we love to spoil and support. This sort of individual touch and conversation makes staying at a place special: it was weeks ago now, but see how well I remember the conversation? Thank you.

The room was noisy next to the stair case with everyone going up and down the stairs. Bed wasn't comfortable.
