This hotel suited our needs for the duration of our stay.

A little too dog friendly for our liking, also the room does require some attention around the decor and a couple of items need in house maintenance.

Central location, everywhere was easily accessible by foot.

Great location, great food, but not the most comfortable stay. A bit disappointing.

The showers in the rooms are awful. They are so old, and there was a notice that said, sometimes if the water runs cold you have to turn it off and wait, then switch it on again! This is ridiculous when you are standing in a bath, soaking wet and having to wait for the water to get hot again. Not good. The mattresses in our rooms were not that comfortable, particularly room 9. There was no parking available at the site. They have very limited spaces, and it is very small. I had to park in a public car park around the corner, so my car wasn’t in view. I was told that most people who stay there have to park in the public car park. There was no charge for this, it was just inconvenient having to carry luggage back to the hotel. Also the radiators didn’t work, but there was a small fan heater in the rooms, so we had to use these for any heat. I don’t think it was worth the money charged.

The hotel room size was excellent. It was very clean. The location is perfect. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is great. The staff are lovely too. The food was wonderful.

It would have been nice to be able to have more than a quick drink at the bar when we returned but it closed at 11.

We chose not to eat breakfast in the hotel but the location was so central it was easy to find somewhere for a coffee etc. The hotel was very handy for the cathedral, Oliver Cromwell’s house, the river and the railway station.

Perhaps a little too "no frills" for the price. Fortunately only there for a night so didn't need to buy toiletries beyond the basic hand wash provided.

Clean, comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location in centre of town

I think the lack of lift was a minor problem My parents are elderly and mobility is an issue When they booked they didn’t see that the Hotel didn’t have a lift Additionally we did have a drink in the bar but all the lower height tables were reserved The bar stools and tables were just too high for them to sit on or even get on to sit

I liked the food choice and the friendliness of the staff. That was excellent The Hotel is extremely well placed in the Town of Ely. I loved it and I really enjoyed my first visit to Ely We all loved it. Thank you all

The bathroom was a bit outdated but functional. The rooms were quite warm and it was only April so I can imagine it’s quite hot without air con

It was a spacious room and the beds were sooo comfy, I had a great nights sleep

A light over the bathroom mirror to help with shaving and putting on makeup would be a good idea.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were so helpful and friendly without being intrusive. We would not hesitate to book a further stay.

2 very long staircases up to room, although I was getting used to them after 2 nights. No lift.

Excellent service. A nice room with simple, easy to use light switches, unlike some other hotels I've been in lately! Friendly bar staff. Great breakfast on the Saturday, although I hadn't booked in for one.

Parking at this hotel is always a lottery, and spaces are awkward for a bigger car. The bar area of the hotel gets very busy, particularly at weekends. Food ind drink is not great, but reasonable quality and price. Rooms are sometimes a little cramped and tired.

The hotel has no lift, our room was on the top floor. However, that meant it was very quiet. The room itself was adequate in size. The shower-in-bath was a little antinquated, but worked fine. English breakfast was really good, served by pleasant, helpful staff - Well cooked and presented. In the evening we had some drinks close to the bar, which was noisy but people all behaved well.
