Unfortunately, the bathroom had a distinct smell of drains, which made it unpleasant. Once we opened the window wide and shut the shower door and the bathroom door, it was a little better but we still didn't linger.

Breakfast was very good. We also had dinner at the hotel and that was very nice indeed. The room was quite large - it was a family room, with bunk beds even though there was just the 2 of us. It was comfortable and clean enough.

Due to part of the car park railed off it feels like you have incorrectly turned off the main road to get to the hotel.

Room size was great for a family. Very clean room and public areas. Excellent breakfast. Loved the plants and tropical fish tanks. Free wifi worked great. TV in the kids room separate from the main room was great.

I don't like seeing fish or any animals in captivity and I was a bit surprised to see fish kept in tanks. Even the ones outside did not have much room considering their size.

Really enjoyed dinner, very tasty (vegan) meal and the room was was spacious and well equipped. One issue I find in some hotels is not having enough light to work, but here there was a super light just over the desk. Hotel lived up to the eco credentials on its website with draught-proof rooms, several plant-based (vegan-friendly) dinners and cruelty free toiletries in the bathroom.

The only issue was that there wasn't much choice in the evening (my mum doesn't like spicy food) in the restaurant or the bar we sat in when the restaurant was full, but the cheesy chips we eventually chose were nice.

Staff were friendly and informative. The hotel and room were clean and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Very affordable.

The attention to detail on the cleaning was a concern because quite a few areas were dusty and soiled. Areas of the bathroom were not clean and hadn't been cleaned on a regular basis, as the soil was building up in corners etc. This really lets the hotel down and could be rectified by training staff on the areas of concern. I have stopped here on many occasions because it's convenient to my family and the cleaning has not gotten any better. I'm a Vocational Tutor Assessor and do practical cleaning skills with hospital etc, so I know what the areas of concern are. Sorry for the above, but I feel this lets your site down. Thank you

I have been staying here for two nights p/week for the past 3 months - whilst basic, but excellent value for money, the room are clean, the water is hot, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the accommodation ticked all of my boxes, I would absolutely stay here again if working in the area.

The TV in the room was tiny, as were the mugs for tea and coffee. The breakfast staff, mainly the manager I presume seemed very stressed and there was a bit of shouting across the restaurant. I'd have liked morechoice of fruit at the breakfast as there was only apple and melon and a couple of grapes. Could do with a bit of modernisation but overall it was OK for the price we paid.

The staff on reception were very friendly, bed was comfortable, breakfast was very nice.

Our room didn't have a great view, but at the price we were charged, we didn't expect anything better!

Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good, with a decent choice. Evening 'bar snacks' gave a surprising range of choices. Bar not expensive. Very close to an excellent museum and to the Hollywood Bowl restaurant.
