When we arrived it was about a 20 minute wait before we got checked in. The staff members that checked us in appeared irritated and huffed when he arrived to check us in after pressing the buzzer twice and a pair before us had complained that they had called and didn’t get a response from pressing the buzzer. We where then told told someone was on their way and we had to call again for assistance. It was a long wait

There was quite a bit of noise from nearby rooms till well after midnight, but its difficult to blame the hotel for that, it just comes back to the courtesy or otherwise of the other guests.

The hotel was near enough to where I wanted to be, there was plenty of parking available and I was able to sit in the bar and watch the cricket for a couple of hours after check out.

Nothing I didn’t particularly dislike…. It was what I paid for and I didn’t expect or want 5star service so it was a good budget stay and very comfortable for my needs and requirement. I’m a heavy tea drinker so 2x teabags and 2x milk portions are a pleasant token gesture to settle in. The gent who worked there was fantastic and when asked he made sure I didn’t go without milk… I had already supplied my own tea and milk…. Milk went off and he got me plenty of milk packets to see me through the rest of my stay. Kudos to him. I had initial concerns about security of my motorcycle but parked under CCTV cameras and secured bike with 2 locks as well as steering lock and alarm. There was another biker staying there so we kept our bikes together. Our community has a pack mentality even if we are strangers to begin with. All in all I was very happy as a solo traveller and never see the point in criticism for the sake of being critical when something is perfectly ok and what it should be.

Option for proper cooked breakfast… Not that I took advantage of the facility but had planned to. My personal circumstances and timings meant I didn’t have breakfast but I had planned to and was pleased the opportunity was there if things in my timeframe allowed. I liked the cleanliness of my room and bathroom especially. I liked the bed…. Had amazing sleep both nights and after being home 2 days now, I still feel relaxed and refreshed from my trip away. I think I had value for money and got exactly the comfort and peace I hoped for of an evening. If the standard had been any less there would’ve been room for complaint…. It was a fair price and fair condition and service all round. Get what you pay for and I think an average standard was met. Not above and beyond and not below par… So I’m a happy customer. I had a great weekend with my motorcycle club and just enjoyed my time away… Easily pleased when the basics are met in a transaction 😁

Reception I understand its a pub however the reception area is dated and the access door to the rooms needs to be more secure as if not shut properly it would remain unlocked.

The refurbished rooms are clean, modern and well appointed. Stayed here previously and the rooms were grotty and outdated.

Hotel set back on the A5, with the rooms well away from the main road. Dunstable Town centre a brisk 15 - 20 walk. Room bright, airy and clean. Bathroom well laid out with hair and shower gel dispenser in shower. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Bed comfortable. Large TV on wall with choice of stations to watch. Staff service at breakfast good.

Unfriendly checkin. After a long traffic holdup I was running very late and needed to check in quickly and get out again to a meeting. I explained this over an intercom (No one at reception) and was told I would have to wait as a "handover" was in progress. After several minutes I rang the intercom again and was told somewhat aggressively I would just have to wait. Pity really, as otherwise the hotel was excellent value and ideally situated and I would be happy to use again.

New shower but not very big. There was a major issue with traveller community in the restaurant at least 50+ of them very loud bosterous. Demanding to be served first,staff did very well to control them we left as we could not get a served due to them pushing in so we left.

There could have been a bigger selection of tea/ coffee. In the room. I only drink decaf coffee and mint/ fruit teas so couldn't make myself a hot drink, although there was a selection at breakfast of fruit teas , but no de af coffee. No fruit juice out although it was on the menu. Didn't ask though.

The bed was comfortable so I slept well. Shower was hot. Facilities simple but adequate. Staff helpful. Quiet. Breakfast good. I was pleased with my stay
