The indoor pool next door needs a new liner. My bedroom windows look like they needed replacing.

The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. I preferred the outdoor pool, which was warm, and I enjoyed the food. My room was clean, and set up lovely. They loan towels for the pool, which is helpful. They had a great range of drinks at the bar, too.

    Room could have been cleaner.

Good size room but could have cleaner. Good location and good views over the sea. Would stay again in same room. Breakfast was a good selection

The left hand window in room 103 didn't lock.

A fantastic seafront location with a short walk to the beach, gardens and pier. The fact this hotel is dog friendly was a bonus although an additional £20 per night is required on top of your room rate and your dog needs to weigh 10kg or under to stay. My dog settled in very well as the staff were very friendly and made us both feel welcome. The outdoor pool was another feature that attracted us as well as the choice of restaurants. Cocktails in the bar were delicious and the Art deco decor was appealing.

Our room was generally good but the bathroom was quirky. It lent itself to having a walkin shower but instead they squeezed in a bath with a shower over the bath. That really didn’t work as the glass shower screen didn’t allow decent access as it could not move inwards beyond the bath handle as it was too long. Consequently when we had a shower there was quite a lot of water on the bathroom floor.

The location and facilities were all very good and the staff were excellent. The food was generally good. Breakfast was excellent but the evening meals were a little uninspiring particularly the main courses.

I was told I would be upgraded to a standard single room. Whilst this was perfectly adequate it was difficult to understand from what it could have been upgraded. Parking was inadequate and I had to park in the street for £12

Food in the grand café was excellent

Noting average age of guests. Sofas, easy chairs appeared difficult for some.

Some areas a little tired. Breakfast good. Set menu sufficient and well presented.

I object to paying parking fees to park in a hotel that I have booked to stay in. Outrageous.

The aircon didn’t work, we did speak to someone on reception, and was told someone from maintenance would sort it, and then it wasn’t fixed. Asked again, and was told it would be. Hottest day of the year and we had to sleep in a sauna

The seats in the bar lounge were far too low for sitting in and getting up. We found very difficult, and we were young. So the older people were having difficulties.

The outside pool was great, and the bar at night was good.

Bed and pillows, leading to a disturbed sleep. Towels were worn and a little stained. Pool supposed to be heated, requires revisiting as it was still too cold.

Breakfast was good but not enough fresh fruit. Dinner was also good, only issue was I was informed that it would be in one restaurant to find out it was in another due to bookings and I wasn’t informed so felt a bit confused to where to go. Staff are amazing and very friendly and sociable at all levels. The hotel should be very proud of their staff and the input they provide. Bed a pillows were far too soft for me, which lead to an uncomfortable sleep and neck ache. Amenities are good and coffee excellent. Bar staff very helpful. I would certainly recommend for a short or weekend trip. Toiletries in bathroom lovely.

Indoors swimming pool full of long hair and unsupervised so teenagers wear running and jumping on top of my head. Outdoors swimming pool cold not heated at all. As well I had to pay £7 per night for an extra fridge which was not working. When I said in reception that it wasn’t working they just apologise but no refund was offered. When I asked for refund they apologised again and refused refunding me.

Clean rooms, nice and helpful staff. Good location.

There was only one lift and it could only fit 3 people in at a time which was ok but not ideal. The only annoying thing really was that there was only one plug point and it was by the desk and not by the bed.

Lovely hotel and room. Lovely location. Would stay there again.

The room 106 just needs a redecoration as the walls were peeling of paint around the balcony door.
