The room's furniture need some updates....

Two single bed room was a bit cramped. We didn't need so much furniture and would have benefitted from a little more elbow room. However, we were only there for a single night. Longer term bookings may have found the other furniture useful.

Friendly staff, easy booking and high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. The included breakfast was delicious and made the whole experience seem like excellent value for money.

Lack of maintenance person to sort out a toilet problem. If your paying to stay in a beautiful hotel, an issue with the toilet needs to be sorted. We were initially upgraded to a suite due to an issue with no lifts. I had requested a ground floor room due to a knee problem but we had been allocated a room on the 2nd floor. The suite was fabulous and we're were looking forward to our 2 night stay. Unfortunately a toilet issue made it uncomfortable as there was no maintenance person to sort the issue and with a full hotel they could not move us to another room. I would definitely recommend that you need a maintenance person on call 24hrs a day. I don't think it is fair to expect the reception manager to try and fix a broken toilet!

Curtains in the room could do with a revamp / replacing (very yellow and tatty). Very "fusty" smell on the main stairs landing!?! TV looked like it's predecessor had been a lot bigger which meant there was a smaller TV which was quite a distance from the bed, in a now offset wooden frame, with wires hanging down loosely.

Large room with recently renovated bathroom. Ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely! Really nice public areas and plenty of parking available. The member of staff who dealt with me was very polite, efficient and friendly too.

Wifi. went down on the sunday which was annoying but not really hotels fault. Breakfast buffet had run out of alot of stuff and had to ask for a refill. Sometimes we had to go hunting for staff as reception and bar not always manned

Stayed her for the weekend, as neice was getting married in. Richmond Room was a. nice size, Great bathroom. Had a. lovely eveimg. meal on the first night. The bar area is very relaxing. with lovely cocktails.

What let it down were the two drunks outside smoking and being nosey and also the satur case there is a funny smell

The hotel was busy and at breakfast there was only one member of staff serving all of the guests. This was insufficient for the number of guests. As a result we waited for around 30 minutes for breakfast. I ordered the full English which, despite the very high quality, was served lukewarm and borderline edible. I was told I would need to wait an additional 15 minutes to have it replaced so I declined.

Nice hotel in the lovely village of Croft. We had a premium double room which was large and had an excellent modern bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.

We had to ask for batteries for the tv remote in the living area, upon requesting these, I was told the tv didn't work in the bedroom area, but would hopefully get fixed the following day. This never happened. It was lovely being upgraded, and I was looking forward to laying in bed watching TV, a real treat. But why upgrade to a room where the tv didn't work, a great disappointment!

We were upgraded to the Garden Suite which was lovely.

We waited 20min to check in (and had to go looking for someone) as there was a wedding on Wifi was awful No bathmat provided and only one glass. No wastebin in room, just in sanitary bin in the bathroom

One of the two rooms booked was particularly cold. We attended a wedding at the hotel - it didn’t appear to be very well organised. There was no privacy in the bathroom which faced the main road. Lunchtime buffet was poor.

Breakfast was good although the smoked salmon wasn’t available and the black pudding was missing from the full English. Evening buffet was excellent! The interior decor was very tastefully done. Comfy beds - slept well!

Poor service and food at breakfast (Sunday) - had run out of some ingredients so no full English, fried egg yolk solid, bacon tough + one meal never came so a guest in our party missed out, road noise, milk bottle left in fridge from previous guest, cracked window pane, small amount black mold in shower, missing grout around bathroom floor tile, constant hum from fridge all night, thin walls

I thought the tea and coffee making facilities were really basic. I would always expect Yorkshire tea as a standard. I've stayed in lots of hotels recently that now have a Nespresso machine in the rooms so it was disappointing that it was non branded instant coffee.
