How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Not serving lunch.
Location next to Bassenthwaite. Plenty of space within the hotel. Peaceful. Food was delicious and staff could not do enough for the guests.

The service wasn’t great. On the second night we sat down in the bar area hoping to get food and were completely ignored other than the bar manager giving us funny looks. In the end we left and went to The Sun Inn.

Not much - just a little expensive in a taxi due to location from Keswick. Buses run from outside hotel Into Keswick during the day every couple of hours and only 15 mins.

Room 68 was incredibly noisy from every direction especially the room above. We could hear every word of the guys conversation and every step was a thud above our heads. This went on until the early hours both nights, perhaps something could be done to mitigate the noise to soundproof

Because the bed was a zip and link the duvet only just covered the top of the bed, it was much smaller than the actual duvet cover, it needs a bigger duvet. The quality of the coffee in the room was not good. Needs something better. The lighting in the corridor where our room was situated (room8) was very dull in the evening. This could be quite dangerous for anyone with limited sight as there are steps up tho the rooms. It needs to be lighter.
Our room was very nice, good size and comfortable, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. The restaurant/ breakfast room was nice and the public sitting areas were large and comfortable. Nice grounds. Unfortunately we did not get to use the pool etc.

Could do with an upgrade on decoder. Grip handles in bath to allow safe access from over bath shower as bath is deep and a bit high.
Location of hotel very good, buses leave from outside hotel to Keswick so you can leave the car. Leisure facilities are good.

I liked how modern and cosy it was. The lounge was a lovely space to go sit and read or relax. The gym and swimming pool were very handy

Just a little more expensive than it deserves to be.
The leisure facilities are appreciable and the staff are outstanding. The rooms themselves are large and airy and the separated seating area a nice bonus; but the breakfast is nothing revelatory for anyone who's ever stayed in a Premier Inn and one can't help but think that the price is based on a feeling of 'luxury treat', which the hotel itself falls a little short of. Great location for exploring the stunning Northern Lakes nevertheless.

It was all good. Warm, comfortable, friendly, and relaxed. Thank you.
The family room was huge and comfortable, and the bathroom was a great size, too. Having a fridge in the room was a bonus. It was perfect for one adult and two teenagers to have our own space when we were in the room. The leisure facilities were really good. Better than expected. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and cooked to order with enough on the menu to provide choice and variety. We didn't have dinner in the hotel.

The staff occasionally came across as disinterested however they were not rude. The property itself was tired in places but again suited our needs and was not unclean.
Large room, option for both a shower or bath which was welcomed after long days walking. Restaurant on site which had quick service, however the menu was fairly limited. Good value for money all round and would stay again.
