Price seemed high for size of room and breakfast needs addressing. Sausages where well over cooked, bacon undercooked and like rubber very salty. Beans were luke warm. Bread for toast was very dry not fresh.

Room was nice, but location of room didnt like. My hubbi 73 so we had room 63 ,never been given that room before.

Staff on bar slow needed more than one member of staff when busy Certain member of staff on check in wasn't the most helpful and came across a bit bolshy

Hotel doesn’t hide away from the fact that it is also a busy pub, but might be worth trying to avoid the room directly above the main bar (which we were in) if you’re after an early night

The rooms were very hot and Aircon was not good most staff were lively except a young waitress who was very rude and slammed our drinks down on the table also be aware as parking is not free or guaranteed unless you walk a fair distance

there was a staff shortage in the bar One of my pints of lager (Bootlegger ) tasted a little off Car park was , and this is no one’s fault , very small and was near impossible to get out of

We were disappointed that we could not book a table for our evening meal, we arrived at 6.45pm and were told we would be lucky to even get a table and if we found one there was an hour wait for food. Also both the two main meals had been taken off the menu. I think that residents should get some priority . I had to fight my way to the bar three times to order our food, in our late seventies this was a bit unexpected!!

I have travelled extensively here and overseas - I was very pleased that The Black Boy lived up to expectations and I did not experience anything negative.

The room was very clean and benefited from modern updates yet retained original features. Very comfortable bed and lashings of hot water in the modern bathroom featuring bath and shower. Generous portions of good food and great staff throughout - always helpful and engaging. Thank you. Highly recommended!

The historical ambience. Local beer.qualty of Room 3 with beams. really good breakfast and the decor and historical local stories written on slate were exceptional.. location is perfect within the town walls. Main breakfast is plated on order. Choice of large or small breakfast kippers omelette etc

We liked everything.

We loved our room in the very old part of the inn. We had everything we needed. Large television. Very Large clean bathroom with thick fluffy towels. View of the old town walls from the window and short walk to the castle and harbours. All the staff were so friendly and very professional. All the food was delicious. We would love to go back

Parking was not straight forward but being that the Black Boy is within the walls of Caernarfon Castle I don't think that was taken into consideration when it as built!!

The room had all the facilities of a higher grade hotel The staff were extremely helpful and spoke Welsh which we appreciated

No other Rose wine other than a Zinfandel. Unfortunately not everyone likes sweet wine,so the bar could do with investing in some dry rose.

The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful, unfortunately I didn't get her name.

Only thing we didn’t like randomly were the pillows. Very firm. One was too low and two was too high. Obviously just personal taste though.
