A classic small town hotel - full of character and history. Extremely pleasant staff, always keen to help (including sorting out bike storage). A basic room that provided everything we needed. The evening meal was above expectations and the breakfast was great.

Hotel under new, management and feel still settling into roles. Exterior a bit shabby especially the outside seating area. Directions to car park could be clearer and\or detailed on confirmation email. I arrived late and found just one parking space in the car park and felt lucky.

Good breakfast choice. Excellent location on main street. Friday night gathering of musicians a bonus.

    Nothing.

We had a great welcome and a good meal on arrival. We were especially grateful that we were allowed to leave our vehicle in the car park whilst we cycled the Traws Eryri Trail over 4 days. This made doing the trip possible and made everything stress free. We are hugely grateful for this.

Nothing really. Evening meals were a bit pricey but that's because they were more than just pub food. Anyway lots of food options in town

Secure parking for our MTBs. Good selection of single rooms. Allowing us to park our car in their carpark whilst we did a 4 day Traws Eryri MTB tour.

Not having the time to stay longer!

Dinner delicious, service in restaurant very good with friendly attentive staff. Travelling alone is not always easy and I felt completely safe and comfortable her. Room clean and quiet, bed very comfortable. Will use this hotel again.

The beds are too small and the evening staff were very overstretched.

It's a lovely old hotel and the breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and delicious cooked food too. When we arrived the only staff seemed stressed. When we return later it was very full of dinners and we couldn't a drink as there were no bar staff. We went to a local pub after waiting 15mins. The bed was far too small and our friends who also stayed had the same problem, so none of us slept well.

The rooms and corridors are a bit tired - they need a lick of paint, some TLC and modernisation. Some signage in Cymraeg(Welsh) would also be appreciated, as after all Machynlleth is a very Cymraeg-speaking part of Cymru.

Poor vegetarian option for dinner. Dinner prices not cheap, no burgers or pizza type food. Options to eat out in town not great. No takeaways permitted in rooms.

Good breakfast but not much fruit. Goof market right outside on a Wenesday.

The hotel advertises an EV charger but this is not available to guests. There are chargers nearby at the public car park so not a problem, but the listing needs to be corrected.

The rooms are very dated and tired, wallpaper peeling off, needs significant investment to bring it up to standard. Plumbing a bit iffy. But Ok for a night or two. .

Friendly & helpful staff. When I asked for help the young man on reception seemed to run up two flights of stairs carrying our cases. Thank you! Food was perfectly acceptable. Good breakfast. Convenient location.
