The water in the shower could have been a bit warmer, especially after a day's walking. It wasn't cold, but not exactly hot either. It's a minor thing, but the price point does set expectations high.

The location is gorgeous, the staff were very friendly, and the bed was excellent. Room was a decent size and very stylish. Food was tasty as well!

The noisy septic tank van parked outside our window blocking our view in the morning was slightly annoying.

The views! Unique property in remote location; even getting there was an adventure. On top of that, the room, food, staff and beers all made our one-night stay memorable.

Food and drink were fabulous although a little pricey.Room a tad small but very well equipped,super comfy bed.

Small issue with shower temperature but it was fixed pretty quickly once reported.

Although the food was very tasty the starters we had in the evening were barely warm. The main was very nice and hot. However, breakfast was the same, very tasty but it was lukewarm

The Tan Hill is quite unique, full of history with stunning views, one of the most exceptional places I have ever stayed. The Staff were so welcoming and extremely helpful. The Inn is cosy and warm and full of charm. The food, we had the Sunday Roast, was just wonderful, delicious and hot. The rooms, ours was a dog friendly room, had the most comfortable, big bed with soft pillows and crisp, bright white sheets. Our dog had her own bed, which looked new, a dog bowl, poo bags and a bag of biscuits left for her! The location of Tan Hill is like no other, just fantastic, and once you step inside the Inn you feel warm comfortable and relaxed! I have nothing but praise and cant wait to go back.

I don't think I would change anything

Room was very comfortable, Warm and facilities quite acceptable. Range of Beer was very good, Food menu was very good. I think the breakfast (Full English) couldn't be better, Hot, properly cooked and well presented. Plenty of toast (self cook or burn depending on your ability)

If we are going to be really picky -The clock had stopped working on the wall it needed a battery I presume and one of the reading lights flickered.

We enjoyed everything, the food, the location, the room ,the extra touches like coffee, tea, water, fire burner logs, Bathrobes ,toiletries. Our privacy was respected no-one knocked on the door ,the items for the room were left outside. We were in a double deluxe room so had the best views and facilities in the room , you couldn't hear anything when in the room so no disturbance from the bar or other residents. Staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Kaitlyn.

Sadly the food was pretty average and breakfast service was chaotic 😕

It's an iconic place and doesn't disappoint.
