Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandNo staff as there was a coded entry. Not that I didn't like this, but can't comment above effectively if there are none.

United KingdomThe entrance to the rooms which is at the rear of the property up steep wooden steps. Handrail was in two short sections and not the full length and with the wet the steps could be slippery. Definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. Bathroom very small and tiny sink. Bar was not particularly welcoming or inviting.
The room was clean, tidy, and adequate for our needs.

United KingdomTo reach room 1 to 4 we had to go up an outside stairs which were steep and narrow which had inadequate hand rail. Not user friendly in the rain and darkness. The outside door did not close fully and often found open.
There are no food facilities. The bed was comfortable and fresh towels every day.

United KingdomI'm really trying hard to find something, but the only slight negative, was that they don't offer any food service (which I was fully aware of before booking)
The Wolf Inn is right on the Wolf Way cycle route, which I was in the process of cycling. Because of the storm that was due to hit East Anglia on Friday 13th October, I decided to stay the night in a hotel, rather than in my tent, and this hotel was in the perfect location. Everything from the booking, to the self service check-in was very simple, and my bedroom and ensuite were both spotlessly clean. The shower was as good as I've experienced anywhere, as it was both hot and very powerful. This place ticked all my boxes for what I needed

United KingdomThe only downside, for some, may be that the rooms are at the top of a fairly steep staircase. No problem for me but if your infirmm The Wolf is maybe not for you.
This hotel was perfect for my needs. I wanted a one-night stop over at a good price while I was working away from home. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again.

United KingdomMattress was comfy but didn't fit with the quality of the room. I rolled into my partner each time he moved. (Much to his delight:)
Loved the room! Spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. Bathroom was amazing, and a hot shower was welcome after 3 nights on a boat. Staff were really friendly at the bar. We parked in the pub around the corner, and they didn't seem to mind. Would definitely book again next time I'm in the area for work.

United KingdomThe room I stayed in (room 6) was internal and had no opening outside window so would be claustrophobic for many. It was fine for sleeping but I wouldn't like to have to stay in the room during the day. In hot periods that room is likely to be very stuffy too. This doesn't apply to the other rooms with external windows. The room was still good value for money. No food supplied by the hotel, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby - I can recommend the Commodore.
The room was small but very well equipped with a very good shower. Excellent TV with many channels and the wifi also was very good. Nice touch was a free drink voucher for the bar each day.

United KingdomThe location is on a very busy road. It's very noisy. You can keep the windows shut which helps, but we were there on a warm day and it gets stuffy.
The room itself with some 'different' decor. Slick provision of access (codes) to the room. Comfortable beds. Good shower.
