Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSome rooms very noisy when an event going on opposite (apparent Young Farmers weekend is ‘known’). No curtains just a blind wasn’t great. And hooks for towels in the bathroom or bedroom would have been better.
Clean, simple, no frills but fine. Excellent central location - couldn’t be better for Winter Gardens. No parking on site but Houndshill Car Park is very reasonable nearby. Simple breakfast included for the price.

United KingdomThe window was huge, and there were only some white vertical blinds that didn't block out any light. The matress was lumpy and creaked every time you moved, definitely needs a new matress. We stayed in the library room this was next door to the breakfast area and the first room in the hallway so very noisy when other guests are walking past, all the floors and hard which adds to the noise levels.
Great location, cheap, friendly owner. Ample self service tea, coffee, breakfast. Good WiFi. Extra pillows and bedding in room. Room was relatively clean.

United Kingdom1st time staying in the apartments instead of the rooms. Stayed in the "disabled" apartment and whilst more room, found the bathroom to be a bit dirty around the showerhead nozzles. The Tv in the room wasn't the best but not a massive issue
The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever we stay. The access and closeness to the Tower and Ballrooms are perfect for a dance weekend and also feel very secure The open continental breakfast is always great and delicious. One of the best places I stay is here when I come up to Blackpool. 3rd time now ive stayed here

United KingdomI stayed in the deluxe suite with my daughter, there was only 1 bed and 1 chair. My other child was meant to come too, and I'm not sure where they'd have slept. There were bunk beds in an area that led to another room leaving the building through double doors, people was in and out of that space, and I wouldn't have left my child in that area. I was very surprised by the lack of security to the room we were staying in. It was on old keyhole lock. The door was flimsy and could have easily been opened as there was no latch on the inside to secure the other door. A little tip: Providing a pot towel would be helpful to the guests, and double-checking the pots are clean for the next guests. Also, there wasn't a toaster available like it says in the information when booking. Providing a hairdryer would also be a bonus.
The location was great. The staff were lovely and helpful. No issues from other guests.

United KingdomSteps on the deluxe suite outside got really slippy when wet
We stayed here for one night in the deluxe room, this room was fantastic value for money and in a great location, added bonus was this hotel was dog friendly, so for an extra £10 the whole family could go. I’ve stayed in many places in Blackpool and this by far beats the rest, it’s in a perfect location from the front, literally straight opposite the winter gardens, 2 minutes walk to houndhill shopping centre! Room was clean and had everything you needed, even a little kitchen with an oven kettle microwave. staff were friendly and polite and great with the kids, they offered breakfast on a morning which consisted of cereals, toast etc, you could either sit and eat it there or you could grab and go! We’d 100% stay here again!

United KingdomStayed downstairs in the studio flat and some of the light switches didn't work (in the kiddies area and down lighting spots) and could have done with blackout blinds as was awake at 6am due to the light. Someone kept trying to get into our room at 2.30am which was a bit annoying. Also the fire exit sign glows bright green in the dark which keeps you awake. Got a bit cold as the heating went off at night, maybe control over the thermostats would be a good idea especially downstairs. Not the most modern and needs a lick of paint here and there but for the price you can't expect 4-5* so it was fine.
Great location as we were working an event at the Winter Gardens so it's literally right at the back. As we had a blue badge we could park right outside but otherwise there are pay and displays around. The room was massive and had everything, you could probably live there for a while!!! Absolutely spotless and nice touch with the ferrero rocher which we ate when we got home late. Also we were a bit cheeky and grabbed a bowl of cereal at 2am so it was a nice touch leaving things out for people. We'd definitely come back if we do the event next year.

United KingdomThe information given about the hotel was a little haphazard and contradictory depending on who you spoke to - initially they said there was parking at the back for residents, but when we got there, they said there was no parking. I'd requested a twin room, but got there to find they only have double rooms - they did make up an extra mattress in the room when I queried the bed situation and did their best to resolve the problem.
The staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The 'deluxe' rooms were small but clean and had everything we needed. It's a great central location, and perfectly adequate for the price. The breakfast is basic and help yourself - great if you just want a quick snack before you go out.

United KingdomEmail confirmation with key code arrived 2 days late. So we turned up at property and waited outside a long time. Until someone who was staying there let us in. Staff member apologised for our inconvenience. We finally entered our room hour or so later than planned. We should have been in a room with a bath tub. Our room only had a shower. Must have been a mix up somewhere. Room was very clean so that is a massive plus. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
