It would have been nice if booking.com would allow vendors the opportunity to describe exactly how much parking there is. On this occasion I had to leave my car on the street for the first evening as they can only accommodate 6 vehicles for 8 rooms.

The floors took some getting used to, but what do you expect from a near 250 year old build renovated beautifuly. Can't fully level them and thats the charm. Marking as didn't like but loved the charm.

When I tried to contact the owners on the morning we left to pay bill. Thank goodness it was an emergency, neither answered there phone or ring doorbell. Still no reply.

The only thing which we could find fault with was that we could hear normal level conversation from the next door room! Is it possible to retro-fit decent sound insulation? If it's not, I don't think that would stop us from returning

The Windmill is a lovely place to stay. It's located down a short, narrow road which opens out into a gated courtyard with room for several cars. The owner welcomed us and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, clean and tidy, pleasantly individual with a large bathroom and a very comfortable four-poster bed. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including the usual tea/coffee and TV but it also had windows we could open and heating we could control. Brilliant!

There wasn't a thing I could find fault with.

EVERYTHING. The hosts were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was really clean and comfortable. The windmill is situated near to Scarborough town centre and when the lights around it's own courtyard are on at night it looks lovely. We posted pictures on social media and have friends looking to book here and we will DEFINITELY be booking again.

Car parking is a little tight when full but the owners came out and helped with this and accommodated us to park two cars within the gates.

Loved seeing the windmill and the staff were great. There are two cottages beside the windmill and then apartments on the other side. The windmill itself has two rooms which sleep two guests in each room. We loved the attention to detail and the location is quite central to Scarborough as it's within a housing estate.

Nothing in particular really, it provided everything we needed for just two nights.

Nicola and Andy were very friendly hosts and were on hand should we have required anything. The setting was as good as it looks, and quiet, too.

The windmill was a amazing place to stay, with little quirky items, one being the 'Drunk step' which was in our room. Staff very friendly and welcoming, gave some suggestions of things to do and places to visit.

What an amazing place - Andy and Nicola have thought of everything and have executed it perfectly. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. The room (we had #8) was beautifully appointed, huge TV, comfy sofa and bed, well stocked tea/coffee tray, bottle opener, cork screw, pint and wine glasses, hairdryer, iron, fan, lots of sockets, wi-fi and parking included. We stayed for two nights and loved the fact that servicing our room after one night was an option - there is no need, so appreciate being asked as it makes for a more relaxing stay for everyone. We would definitely stay again and look forward to doing so. Well done guys, you have created perfection.
