There was a patch of carpet which was motheaten, light mould in the bathroom double glazing and dirty bins. The rest was clean and nice, especially the huge bath. Also the cappuccino machine was broken (at breakfast).

Friendly helpful and attentive staff, excellent breakfast, lovely big soft towels, great location by the Dockyards.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was really good. Breakfast was excellent. If you are visiting the attractions you couldn't ask for better. 100 yards walk to the entrance of the Dockyard and 500 yards to the outlet with plenty of places to eat. Good safe car park behind the hotel.

Breakfast choices limited - buffet was disappointing with pastries wrapped in plastic and tesco yoghurt. Would expect more for £175 for the night.

Beautiful hotel right by the Portsmouth historic Dockyard, Spinaker Tower and Gunwharf Quay shopping centre. Free onsite parking which was locked overnight. We didn't use the car at all as everything easily accessible. Staff really friendly. First class breakfast. So much choice. Poached egg was cooked to perfection. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was very cleanly presented and tasty. The room was small but contained everything that we needed and was wonderfully clean. The location was perfect but noisy at night with the window open. Great to have onsite parking.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, it's in an excellent location for restaurants, pubs, trains, buses and ferries. It is very clean and comfortable and there are no children. Ample parking included round the back. The breakfast is filling and extremely delicious, all round we had a wonderful stay and will stay again and I highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was good but have had better, but also have had worse.

Happy to have taken cheap winter price upgrade to larger room overlooking the harbour. Some noise from traffic and trains outside but a great view. Location very convenient for Historic Dockyards and railway station.

We arrived late at night, off the ferry, but a friendly smile awaited our arrival! Secure parking was an absolute bonus as our car was loaded with luggage. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the extras, including biscuits to accompany our morning coffee. Breakfast was great... We hadn't seen 'Kippers for breakfast' in years... So that was a treat! Lovely friendly and attentive waitress! We liked the fact that we could wait to checkout at 11am as it meant we could get a few emails sorted before our departure and long drive!
