- there was only one big shower towel and 2 medium - the shower needs renovation, the pressure is making the water come out on the connection with the tap - our room had a lot of clarity

- second time coming here and within a year the bar got renovated and the staff changed to a much nicer and welcoming one. - the bus stop nearby is amazing - the room had a heater which we forgot to turn on

Yes the place needs some TLC and the mattresses could be more comfortable but for the price and location (close to Aston Villa FC) I can't complain. I'm sure the new manager will sort the place as she was in the process of doing in fairness.

The corridors smelt musty. The room needs a revamping. The bed was awful you could feel the springs in the mattress. The patrons were noisy that is not the fault of the hotel but maybe a sign up saying be considerate to others when walking through the corridors.

Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm and another customer and me had to wait 3pm, because staff who was present was not able to check us in, and the manager was out walking her dogs... Pretty annoying that it was possible only one whole hour later than what was announced on Booking.com. Also the back door if you come back after 11pm is quite hard to find so ask for indication before that time if you are planning to come back late.

Not too far from the city center as there is a direct bus but you need to walk a little from the train station. Room was not unclean and there was sopa shampoo and towels provided.

Room was cold on arrival and heater was a bit weedy. It did warm up, though. Because of a late food delivery the inn was unable to provide us with an early cooked breakfast, but kindly found toast and a hot drink for no charge.

The landlady and her staff went out of their way to be helpful, and to sort out any little problems; they were exceptionally busy but were still polite, friendly and helpful, and swift to help.

Silver tape around the window frames to try to mask the draught. Toilet wasn't clean, although the bathroom, bedding and towels were.

Cheap to stay for one night. Staff were friendly. The beds comfy. Nice toiletries. Parked in the street (first turning on the left after the hotel) as had read reviews re parking. Didn't have to pay the holding deposit, so we're able to check out early.

No quilt on 1 of our beds toilet roll was missing even though they were cleaning rooms when we got in radiators was off the wall springs coming out of beds needs more room in the rooms also need double beds in there

Traffic on the main road was a bit louder than expected. Think there was some construction or a roundabout that got blocked in the morning leading to cars beeping loudly from 730/8. Not sure the windows were double glazed which didn't help.

Cheap stay for a concert. Hour walk to the center or a taxi. Stayed on a Monday night and it seemed quiet. Didn't have any issues with staff like others have mentioned. Everyone seemed friendly, checkin and checkout were easy.

I dropped my key behind the dresser and when I pulled it out it was filthy with fluff and a durex wrapper. No breakfast even though there were menus out on the tables and in the entrance. The morning when we were leaving there were people waiting to get served with no bar staff in sight. No tea making facilities and no chance of getting one from the bar. I think a new manageress is taking over so I think things will be better when she takes over.
