The floor boards in the bedroom were very noisy, maybe have a bigger bed

We had extended out stay which was quite easy to do and was moved into our room swiftly. However the housekeeping (very large blonde lady with an European accent) let herself into our room on two occasions without knocking!! The first was about 10’mins after we checked into our second room, she let herself in without knocking. Then came back a min later (she also had a child with her which was unusual) and accused us on smoking, very rudely. When it was check out time, she let herself in our room again! Without knocking, and again very aggressively told us it was check out time and we needed to go. I would have paid for late checkout that morning or extended my stay another night but I decided to move to another hotel as I was so offended by how rude this lady was. I would have returned again however because of this rude rude housekeeper I will not be returning, I do not want a penny of my money going towards her wages.

Ok so the headboard was material and you could see greasy marks not easy to clean, The young girl at breakfast when clearing up after a guest had finished and left removed all used items and left unused cutlery and napkins on the table then sprayed with cleaning fluid all over, and wiped all around the unused cutlery that now had a film covering of cleaning fluid ready for the next guest.

Great location, very grand in its day, Staff lovely, nice bar with a lovely polite eager young man, Choice of pillows, bedding was immaculate and felt lovely . Great cooked breakfast the best sausage ever and all beautifully cooked.free parking 😀

It was disappointing that we hadn't been told beforehand that the hotel bar would be closed on both nights we were there due to private parties. Part of the reason we chose the hotel was because it had that facility and we were looking forward to catching up over a few drinks on our first night. We found other pubs close by but we would have preferred to sit and relax in the hotel bar.

We were a group of 12 people on a 2 night break. All our rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Great location for us as it was only a short walk to the pier where we were attending a Christmas party. Close to the shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were very friendly and arranged for all of us to sit together for breakfast. Food was very good.

The hotel is looking a little tired and would benefit from a refurbishment as one of the main hotels in WsM. The landing and staircase floorboards creak under everyone’s footsteps and so, residents would be advised not to stay in a room near the stairwell.

The room was very comfortable and certainly warm enough. It had all the necessary amenities that I have come to expect in a good hotel room.

The room overlooked bars, we were there for an Xmas party so went to bed after 12, however the bar opposite was still in full swing. People were up and moving around from 7 so definitely not a relaxing nights sleep but fine for for us on a party night. Room needs a freshen up.

Location is good, free parking on site. Clean, simple room with friendly staff.
