Shower had weird fittings and took a minute or two to get the water flowing.

Lovely country pub. Used to be a coaching inn in days past. Twin room clean and spacious with all amenities. Lots of plugs but did take some fiddling to get the adapters we had live for charging. Bad adapters, I'm sure. Some nice walks close by and about 40 minutes from Avebury neolithic complex.

The room was very comfortable, and all facilities were available. We both had the best night's sleep in a long time. Staff super friendly and helpful.

    Couldn’t fault it!

The ambiance felt great. I enjoyed my evening meal, choosing two starters rather than a main. Unusually there were two GF specials on that night. The English cooked breakfast was delicious and the items all sourced locally. The en-suite bedroom was clean and comfortable.

The room needed a bit of TLC, although we had a comfortable night's sleep. The shower over the bath wasn't sealed properly, so it damaged the floor/wall. The tap swivelled. There was no towel rail or hook in the bathroom.

The manager was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided non-feather pillows and duvet, to cater for allergies. The location was great, in the quaint village of Ashbury, and great for beautiful countryside walks. The food was amazing.

However, one minor drawback is the constant noise from the extractor fan located at the end of the building, which can be a bit disruptive during the night.

This hotel has a nice warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with convenient parking facilities and peaceful surroundings. The pub attached to the hotel exudes a friendly and cozy ambiance, offering a wide range of delicious food options that are sure to satisfy any palate. The bedrooms in the hotel are spacious and comfortable, providing ample space for guests to relax and unwind.

Noise from other rooms can be heard- but never too much to bother me.

I love this place, always made to feel welcomed, the food and drink are first class and the staff are always so friendly. it is close for Lambourn, to see the racehorses on the gallops and some beautiful walks. Breakfast is local produce and always yummy.

    Everything was good. No complaints.

Arrival and check-in was seamless. Very nice room, large and comfortable. I had dinner in the bar and the prices were reasonable and the food was good. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was also good. Great location for walkers on the Ridgeway and for visiting The White Horse at Uffington and Waylands Smithy.

No problems, I had one small issue with the room which was quickly resolved. I would suggest they fit a few towel hooks and a shelf in the bathroom.

Comfortable room in a good pub in a delightful village. Really good breakfast, really good value together with a high quality dinner menu. Really positive and helpful staff.

that I don't have there chefs living with me to make me there blueberry and white chocolate bread and butter pudding.

It was lovely to see a breakfast menu with different options on it, the egg Benedict I had for breakfast was so tasty, and the coffee was hot and strong, plenty of it , service with a smile. the bedroom was spotless, the bed was like sleeping on a big white marshmallow, the evening meal was sooooo good my taste buds was doing the rumba dance in my mouth , all the staff were friendly ,helpful and happy, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so polite, Holly has picked a great team, and Jack is a very polite young man , thank you to all for such a lovely stay .
