The first room we were allocated was full of damp, wallpaper bubbling with water. The second room wasn’t damp but very cold as we were told we were the only guests so the heating couldn’t be put on. No breakfast and no entertainment as advertised however they did put music on the iPad through the speakers and open the bar. The hotel was clean in communal areas and the second room also clean.

Very basic not many plug sockets only 2 cups no glasses no plug for the sink needs updating shower quite old very small tv in room.

The cups in the room were dirty, and where they were was all sticky. The bin hadn't been emptied and there was only one battery in the TV remote control. When we mentioned the cups they did go and get us clean ones.

It was handy for the Winter Gardens. The staff were attentive.

Whilst the hotel is in need of some updating the staff more than made up for any shortfalls. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot thank the staff enough.

Room was very basic, more like a budget hotel. We only had one set of towels for two guests. Not the cleanest bathroom. Could do with a spruce up, carpet tatty, paint work yellowing. There was no control over the heating, with it being a small room the radiator warmed it up quickly, but then it was on all night at a high temperature. Bed wasn’t comfy every time you moved it creaked and bounces. There was a sign saying bar opening times 4 till 12. Music still blaring well past midnight then after music stopped other guests signing on the microphone going on till early hours of the morning with no sort of control from staff. Our room was directly over the bar. there didn’t seem to be any noise policing, guests still in and out of rooms socialising until 5 in the morning.

Appearance from outside looks welcoming. Spacious bar area, seating outside. Young man behind the bar was very pleasant.

Had to change rooms as room 39 you could feel the spring coming through mattress TV picture rubbish. Moved to room 25 everything was ok . Mattresses need replacing seen better days. No breakfast on site said dinning room being renovated. No heating on had to ask for an heater room cold.

Fair price. Heating not working but bed comfortable. Nowhere to hang clothes no drawers either, used a chair. Damp really apparent on windowside and bed cornerbut looks like it had been painted over. Good sleep as it was quiet (hotel packed but mostly adults)Door to room questionably secure. Cannot fault staff as they were great. Sufficed for what I needed. Nearby parking at reasonable price

No breakfast available at the hotel. It was cold when we first arrived but it did warm up later and was not an issue. The bar was open but only had cans of beer, nothing on draft.

Hotel has recently been taken over by new owners. They'll need time to ad just. They were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location for the winter gardens.

We booked here again because we came the year before and loved the fact it had a proper bar beer on pumps, this time under new owners it was just cans of lager, beer available to purchase. Not the same we felt slightly disappointed and the prices were slightly unreasonable charging prices you would pay for a pint but these were not pint size cans. Had the beer been on tap we would have spent our money there and not in the pubs and bars around the area.

The location was perfect for the trip we were on pigeon weekend. This hotel is central to all the places were we needed to go.

We literally used the oxford hotel as a base to get changed and sleep for one night as we were there for an event which was on at the winter gardens, it suited us down to the ground as it was a stones throw from the venue.

This was s dad exprience one i don't wish to ever experience again there bar had limited stock no breakfast no entertainment (gala evening New years eve) the room was cold had to use duvet on duvet to keep warm how cold a polar bear would ask for a blanket

The decor was shabby. There was no switch for the bathroom light so it was on constantly. Only 1 usable plug at the foot of the bed, too far away to charge and use phone at the same time. Shower went cold. Main outside door wouldn't open from outside.

Sometimes was difficult to fine reception people.

Quality and price are equalize. It's not a fancy place, but you have everything you need to stay there. The bed was more comfortable than I thought and it has very nice location closed to the tower and the beach.
