An absolutely delightful place to stay. Lovely and comfortable and welcoming. Very Homely. Loved the dining/sitting room with the log burner stove. Very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean room and en suite. Delicious cooked breakfast. The Host is very welcoming and friendly.

The fact that we couldn’t stay longer

Fantastic welcome from our Hosts and loved everything about The Moorings. Particularly liked the Loch view from our room and the outdoor seating Towels were changed daily and everything was so clean and lovely . Andrew’s attention to detail when cleaning our room was very impressive too . Comfy bed and armchairs were great too as well as excellent supply of tea coffee and biscuits. Shower and bathroom were just so clean too . Nice lounge to sit in if needed as well with log burner .

The location is exexcellent for those heading to the Ferry at Kennacraig. The room was very cosy. The bed was comfy. Toilet and shower were good. Kettle, toiletries, all these were supplied. The host was very friendly and helpful. As well as his two wonderful friendly labradors. It was a great experience.

there was nothing I didn't like. I am someone who worries about security, having been robbed, so I was a little unsure about leaving my room key where it was easily accessible, but that is a very minor thing and partly as I didn't know the area,

breakfast was superb.

If I had it to do over, I'd have sprung extra $ for en suite. I'm new to the world of single-occupancy accommodations, didn't think it through properly. Now that I've worked through a few stays with non-en suite, I've concluded that en suite is worth the extra. But that's all me, no problem with the accommodation itself.

Nothing once I appreciated the somewhat eccentric nature of the decor. It’s a small cottage, well loved, full of art pieces and such. An interesting and worthwhile experience. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The Moorings is in a lovely part of Tarbert, near the centre but away form the noise. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Hosts are super friendly and great fun. We would defo return.

Andrew was a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating. He has 2 very sweet and friendly bearded collies. The room was great, the bed comfy and there is guest lounge. It was quiet with a lovely sea view.

Not really an issue for me as the WiFi didn't reach the room I was in. However, my phone's Internet was fine and I could use the WiFi in the lounge if I wanted.

Andrew is a fabulous host, a great location, and the views of the harbour are superb. I love the quirkiness of the Moorings. I really loved our chats too!

Quite simply it worked very well for me . Tarbert however does not meet my expectactions- For a destination that needs rourism. The only restaurant open was full- so the alternative was the chippy literally- disappointing as I was on the early ferry from Kennacraig to Islay
